I really enjoyed your excellent video Juliana. This subject reminded me of a similar one about Newton's binomial that I put in my book Calculus-I to solve lim x->+/-inf(1+1/x)^x=e using (a+b)^n and also to solve integrals in the form Int(x^m)(a+bx^n)^p dx. Congratulations! By the way where did you study Calculus?
@julianamaths, my teacher put this question on the board! I already know the answer is 1. I was struggling with the multiplication because I kept doing addition. Anyway, here's how I worked it out: (1+tan²x)(1-sin²x) = (1/cos²x)(1-sin²x) ----- 1-sin²x => (cos²x+sin²x) - sin²x (1/cos²x)(cos²x) I got stuck here because I forget to multiply and I kept trying to add.
Great video, thank you, teacher!
Thank you 🙏
Obrigado professora

W video 😎
Would love to see you discuss the extension of the binomial theorem (with fractional exponents)!
I will, at some point. I like that topic too :-)
@@julianamaths looking forward to it 🙏

Hi, Teacher Julia! Could you explain this problem to me: (1+tan²x)(1-sin²x)? I'm struggling with it. I saw the answer, but I still didn't get it!
What is the question? You are telling me a function but what do you want me to do with it?
@julianamaths, my teacher put this question on the board! I already know the answer is 1. I was struggling with the multiplication because I kept doing addition. Anyway, here's how I worked it out:
(1+tan²x)(1-sin²x) =
(1/cos²x)(1-sin²x)
-----
1-sin²x => (cos²x+sin²x) - sin²x
(1/cos²x)(cos²x)
I got stuck here because I forget to multiply and I kept trying to add.
