I enjoyed listening to theses two taped interviews of Elvis so much he comes over so well and you get to hear a little of the man behind all the fame and as he says here he was just trying to do what he felt was the best at that time likes most other people I think the disappointment of things not turning out as he hoped had very much to do with his spiral into his reliance on prescription drugs if only someone had offered him something to challenge him like the TV special in 68 or the satellite show again maybe it would have turned out differently so very sad and a real tragedy for everyone who admired him so much but mostly for Elvis people will always love to hear him sing each piece I have watched or listened to on you tube have all had hundreds of thousands of hits he is remembered with love and great admiration by millions all over the world thank you so much for posting these two interviews and allowing us a small glimpse of the greatest singer of our or any other time

So it was a 3 part story.. and maybe 4 part.. : of being Elvis before being famous and just a kid... without responsabilties and just enjoying life... But After priscilla there was just the stage to keep Elvis occupied.. I bet he missed his social life of being married and coming home to a family... I bet the guy was heart broken after Priscilla left.. And used drugs not only to perform but also as esacapism from bad feelings as described above..
