ASURA'S WRATH!!! What a nostalgia trip. This game was WILD and I LOVED it when I played it back in the day. Thank you for this video, I had a great time.
Some of the quotes in this game are so incredible. “There’s always some fool who wants to rule the world! Always forcing others to do what they cannot do themselves!”
This game deserves a remake/modern console port+Steam Release, I’m sick of the fact that the only way I can experience this game is by PlayStation plus premium, AND THAT DOSEN’T EVEN COME WITH THE DLC!!! Capcom please, just give me a way to experience this game in its entirety
Rumors of MvC4 are around again, and I once again fruitlessly pray that I get Asura in a fighting game. Please, whatever deity is listening. Give Asura what he deserves. For your own protection.
I love his 'gimmick' to be that he can stock bars of meter into a burst gauge, and if it gets totally full, you can Burst to simply end the fight with Asura wiping out the opponents entire team. It'd basically be bringing how Asura's Wrath works into another game in the best way.
Haven't watched a full length video in a long time. You had me laughing tears half the time, the other half you had me basking in nostalgia and a wondrous childhood. Thank you
This game was my secret jam back then. I'm glad you revived these good memories with the video. There is no dictionary in which Asuras Wrath is not the definition of "Over the top and I don't care! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
This game has been my favorite since it first came out, when I was in highschool! Seeing somebody cover it made my day, and a good first video to see. Subbed.
Asura's Wrath is my absolute favorite game, if it had come out with the real ending it would have been perfect, but even as it is I still enjoy it a lot.
Alright Jesus Christ Cyan, the last punch with the God damn one punch man theme edit gave goosebumps of my life. Even had freaking teary eyes with the badassery and sheer testosterone in that edit. That was awesome!!!!
I preordered this game, and wanted to play the whole whing immediately. When it jumped chapters, i switched off until all the DLC came out. I absolutely loved the music work they had through this whole game!!! It was so well done, and i personally wanted more.
I like creating stories and characters and this series has honestly been a big inspiration for a lot of that when I first watched letsplays of it as a kid. Glad it's not being forgotten today
His other role as War from Darksiders would stand there with wide eyes. War can understand justified anger very well, but a performance like THAT from the voice actor he shares with Asura... something special.
A true hidden Gem of a game. I remember watching a playthrough of it when I was in middle school lol. Thank you for bringing attention to on of the most over-the-top anime games to ever be created
Asura's Wrath is an experience and should be played by everyone. I believe it's the best 'anime' video game, and the fact that Liam O'Brien is a gift and I'm thankful he's still in the industry
Not to say the weebest thing possible, but the "Who do you think you are? God." exchange you chuckled at is even better in the original Japanese. The phrase for "Who do you think you are?" is "nani-sama no tsumori da?" or "who-sama do you think you are", sama being the more polite version of ____-san. Usually there isn't a good reply to this, since nobody calls themselves -sama. However, Yasha being a (demi?)god replied with "kami-sama", since God or just the gods or the kami are usually adressed thus. Anyway, loved this game back in the day. Me and my buddies agreed it's the best anime we ever played. Gameplay is pretty mediocre, but everything else is so awesome that I'm physically incapable of caring. I can somehow even overlook the outrageous decision to place the actual ending behind a DLC.
I played this way back when I was 13 (2013) and I've just recently started getting into actual Anime. The Cosmo Imai fight in Kengan Ashura is the only moment in any anime that I can think of that rivals the "Ashura holding Wyzens finger up" scene. That scene goes so damn hard. I also appreciate that Asuras power doesn't seem to be inherently overpowered or anything, it's his own tenacity and cleverness that allows him to get out of the situations, as all the other gods have hopelessly OP powers too and we can even see Ashuras arms break over and over again because he's fighting beyond his limit.
Please make a part 2 with thr Street Fighter DLC, PLEASE, that thing is WILD, Asura's Wrath is one of my favorite games, so watching someone speak about it on recent time is always a delight
I've seen that over the years asura's wrath has slowly risen in popularity. I hope that one day we can at least get a remaster or remake for PC and current gen consoles.
I like how in the game bosses do not have health bar its just asura getting angrier before one shotting his enemies

ASURA'S WRATH!!! What a nostalgia trip. This game was WILD and I LOVED it when I played it back in the day. Thank you for this video, I had a great time.
13:20 Gin would also be impressed by that sword ability.
Asura Vs Augus on the moon theme (aka simpnony no. 9) is one of my absolute favourites coming to fight scenes especially on this scale
Like peak level of dandadan
Some of the quotes in this game are so incredible. “There’s always some fool who wants to rule the world! Always forcing others to do what they cannot do themselves!”
Yup
The true ending gives chills bro, especially with the editing on it. The main game was no where close to it.
this is Beauty, presented as a mans Rage. love that you did this video.
ive been talking about this game for weeks at work! Its so good.
"It's sucks to be citizen of that planet"
Finally cyan man making a video about this beautiful game , I waited for this
I loved this game so much when it came out, glad it's getting loved again
Thank you
This game will forever be my standard on how to use quick time events in a game.
This game was my secret jam back then. I'm glad you revived these good memories with the video. There is no dictionary in which Asuras Wrath is not the definition of "Over the top and I don't care! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Thi is my go to game to explain how angry I am with certain people.
WHAT?!
Liam had to go to the hostpital from voice acting as asura?
That's metal af.
Your voice acting makes the video 1,000 times better :D
This game has been my favorite since it first came out, when I was in highschool! Seeing somebody cover it made my day, and a good first video to see. Subbed.
Asura's Wrath is my absolute favorite game, if it had come out with the real ending it would have been perfect, but even as it is I still enjoy it a lot.
Alright Jesus Christ Cyan, the last punch with the God damn one punch man theme edit gave goosebumps of my life. Even had freaking teary eyes with the badassery and sheer testosterone in that edit. That was awesome!!!!
Crazy I just started playing this again last night. Then woke up to this video 😂
Nothing brings me more happiness than seeing a 30 minute Asuras wrath video come up on my recommended, love this game
its such a pretty game and the story is touching and sad. ITS A MASTERPIECE
So glad you gave this gem some love.
Liam O'brien probably had to replace his vocal cords after recording this game.
The King Of Most Reasonable Crashouts
Edit: Taking back my Like because you didn't do the Akuma fight
He seems like a calm and reasonable person... lol yeah sorry I didn't get the street fighter DLC but I watched it later and it was wild.
@therealcyanman you're all good , was just looking forward to your reaction on the shark jumping insanity 😂
Asura's Wrath is an experience and should be played by everyone. I believe it's the best 'anime' video game, and the fact that Liam O'Brien is a gift and I'm thankful he's still in the industry
fun fact: augus sword is the biggest sword in gaming
I am reasonably sure it's the biggest sword in fiction, but there might be something in the Lensman series that's more silly.
Came for Asura' Wrath. Subscribed for the hilarious jokes and voice-over
That final transition to Guile Theme snes ver man!!
The Augus fight being underlined with the New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak goes indescribably hard.
My favorite game of all time, im glad more people are experiencing it. Sometimes rage is the answer to lifes problems
I love this game. To this day, i wish it came out on PC 😢😢. This reminded me to listen to the amazing soundtrack again.
1:13 buttack of titan
It was truly the rumbling of cheeks. Incredible comment haha
Ain't no way that's the reference I'm thinking of😂
I love this video because we can hear how much fun you're having playing it.
i fucking love this game. im glad its getting some of the attention it deserves.
I enjoyed every minute of this 32min long video
20:10 Vergil Battle 3 track 🫶 Great video! Will be re-watching!
19:18 I'm dying :D
So glad I found this channel :)
Thanks for your Work Cyan Man
Not to say the weebest thing possible, but the "Who do you think you are?
The Augus fight is hands down one of my favorite boss fights of all time. The music, the setting, the spectacle. It's all amazing.
And almost close anime fight
I played this game a few months back and I can confidently say this is the best game I've ever played in my life
Please make a part 2 with thr Street Fighter DLC, PLEASE, that thing is WILD, Asura's Wrath is one of my favorite games, so watching someone speak about it on recent time is always a delight
The Shut _____ Up feature is golden
So Asura's wrath is the prelude to Street Fighter? Hell of a plot twist right there.
I would give ANYTHING for a remake of this game by a great studio with a nice budget.
The game still looks amazing like usual.
I've seen that over the years asura's wrath has slowly risen in popularity. I hope that one day we can at least get a remaster or remake for PC and current gen consoles.
Just watched Kratos vs Asura on death battle and it’s funny how Kratos cleaned him up with ease
I had so much fun reliving this game through your video xD
It’s like if metal gear rising revengance and God of war had a love child
Some say would say that the Doom Guy is the definition of someone who's just too angry to die but I'd like to state that Asura is the real definition.
