If they were admired by the late David Bowie and Curtis Mayfield, they should be good enough for you. Now go listen to "Wet Sand", "Dosed", "Encore", "Dark Necessities", "Police Station", "Eskimo", or other recent varied sounds of theirs and get on board before they do get too old and too late to appreciate.

Actually I'm With You has aged even better and how that album doesn't get the love it deserves is beyond me. When their lead single The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie is one of the worst songs off the album and the rest of the album is better, that's saying something. I think Rain Dance Maggie is the weakest lead single to any RHCP album but the rest of that album is amazing.

I love frusciante and am super happy he's back in the band but the albums with Klinghoffer are super underappreciated and were a really cool fresh sound for the RHCP boys.

I saw them at Leeds fest in the UK. My friends joke that Anthony's memoirs "Scar tissue" is my "bible", bc I take it everywhere with me after reading ti like 40 times, still haven't put it down. I was lost and sick in Leeds and they were playing the last day. Through all my exhaustion and the crowds, I literally fought my way to the front. I reached the front out of at least 9 thousand people. I was close to passing out, I had been awake for 3 days straight, I was coming down, dirty and tired but I knew I would regret it forever if I didn't get to the very front - and I did. Then it was like a dream. I saw Flea 50 yards way, watched his magical bass fingers go. It was like I dreamt it though, because I collapsed after a few songs and security had to fish me out of the insane crowd. WORTH IT !

I saw them at Leeds fest in the UK. My friends joke that Anthony's memoirs "Scar tissue" is my "bible", bc I take it everywhere with me after reading ti like 40 times, still haven't put it down.
I was lost and sick in Leeds and they were playing the last day. Through all my exhaustion and the crowds, I literally fought my way to the front. I reached the front out of at least 9 thousand people. I was close to passing out, I had been awake for 3 days straight, I was coming down, dirty and tired but I knew I would regret it forever if I didn't get to the very front - and I did. Then it was like a dream. I saw Flea 50 yards way, watched his magical bass fingers go. It was like I dreamt it though, because I collapsed after a few songs and security had to fish me out of the insane crowd. WORTH IT !
