I was rocking with y'all through all of COVID and never missed a beat. Call my behavior weird but you guys gotta show some love and appreciation for THAT.
Lol , this was the stranglers sticking two fingers to the BBC who wouldn't allow them to play live . They hated miming , so they simply made a mockery of it .
@@DukesMusic84 There is also a second version much much crazier than that. Check it out, it is totally hilarious and insane. I guess the Dutch TV executives were unhappy for the first take and asked the boys to take a second time. Big mistake. JJ (bass) totally destroyed the drum kit, Jet Black (drum) started playing guitar as if it were a violin with a bottle, Hugh (guitar and voice) played keyboard with drum stick, Dave (keyboard) sang totally out of synch etc. Glorious days
Thank you. Yes, The Stranglers almost always gave a two finger wave to authority. So glad you enjoyed their performance and the song.

Go see them in 24
I need to get their clearance for a sample anyway, so yeah.
This was on Dutch TV not Top Of The Pops in England.
AHH, thanks for the correction bro. This is before we figured out how to do full screen reactions too
