When my friends visit me from Jodhpur they are obligated to bring me sweets. Once my cousin brother from 10 kg of sweets via Changi Airport and the whole office treated me like a princess 😂😂😂
That's looks like play doh, but that for kids clay, my daughter use play doh all the time creating her craft things whole day, she is too much obsessed with clay stuff,, but the one in the sweet shop its condensed milk.. Most of the sweets are prepared by sugar milk n butter, dry fruits, and that's called silver vrak, and its gives a look to the sweets and there are people who make silver foils to be used in sweets, you can search internet, how the silver foil created for sweets in India...
India's Sweet or Dessert Capital is Kolkata. Kokata is famous for all types of sweets, be it Bengali, Rajasthani, Bihari, Gujrati, Chinese or British etc. Jodhpur is good too.

Bengali sweets are milk bases and which are very very good, and cashew sweets are super good, but nothing can beat the laddu at the Balaji temple Thirupathi.

See milk based products are quite popular in india ... reason is because we hv a big diary industry here... however sweets here are so processed that u wont feel much connection ...however if u see safron, Ghee tends to play a very predominant role when it comes to majority of sweets
