    Wow, what an insane amount of dusty nebulosity you guys captured around M42. And it was nice to get to travel to all four corners of the galax........ I mean, Alpha Scorpia. We are back into another night of heavy rain with widespread flooding/evacuations etc so a bit of dry desert would be good right about now.

      Man Logan, I'm hoping your weather turns around. My eye start twitching if I can't setup and take images.

    A pleasure watching your channel. You are very right, it's the journey that's most important. Great results guy's.
    The desert is a special place and we are blessed here in AZ to have darker sky's than most states.
    I am just starting my journey into astrophotography and people like you are an inspiration, even to an old guy like me :)
    Thank you for sharing.

    Awesome video! When I first got into astrophotography I used to drag my friend out with me to dark sites around SoCal and this gives me tons of nostalgia. Cherish those moments! That site is insane you have there, not just the darkness but the horizon too!

    Thanks for showing us Alpha Scorpii. Nice area. I liked both versions. I think I'm leaning more towards the RGB version. Good job on both.

    • @AZ4Runner
      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hopefully I learn to process the RGB a bit better... I'm kinda spoiled cause usually I use my OSC for broadband targets still. Thanks for watching & clear skies.

    Hi Jason,
    I didn't know your plot of land at Alpha Scorpii was so large. You certainly got a workout showing us the four corners. Quite interesting. Interesting view of Orion without the red channel. But then you did add that red channel for the other view. I never shot M42 in RGB mono and I think I will give it a shot the next few nights. I always used an OSC or narrowband.

    • @AZ4Runner
      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah Pat.. a 10 Acre plot. was a workout for sure. I did manage to capture Red just had to do it at home, so it was not as clean. I still need to improve my processing in RGB , I usually use OSC on broadband targets. CS

    Hey Jason, cracking video mate! With all that land you should start a cactus farm🤣 I was knackered just watching you walk that! I take it, this vid was when you did the live stream that i popped in to when I was in Thailand! Sadly, That all seems a distant memory already as I’m back to work now! (Doing Glenn’s obsey base Wed 8th) 😀 Both images are awesome Jason, although the blue version has something different! I tend to do all filters in one night, I’m too impatient 🤣 But I’m going to do some long projects, I’ve decided, so will do one filter per night! Great job mate, thanks for sharing and clear skies!

    • @AZ4Runner
      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, this was the same time, Oh, Glenn is gonna put you to work now! I usually do 1 filter a night so I can have the same gradient across all my stacked images. I think it makes it a little easier to process. At least that is my thought on the matter. CS.

    Welp, I gotta binge these, now. These are great. I love watching Star Party type stuff with multiple people imagine. Super cool to see the community just getting together. Ya'll ever cook hotdogs and stuff out there by a fire? That'd make for a great time. 😅

      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we actually did dogs and burger at the 1st AlphaScorpiiPalooza. I think you might find some grillin footage in my Live Stream from 4-22-23. it was Epic despite the couds.

    The nebula and it’s surrounding dust are fantastic. Btw: when did you take flats and how?

    • @AZ4Runner
      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Yuji! I took flats a couple night before we went out. Then I made sure that I didn't rotate the camera and left the image train connected.

    Looks like you would need to get a solar generator and a solar panel to use to charge the solar generator. I have both and they work great when I go out to my dark sky site. CS!

    How much did you pay for that much land out there? If you don't mind my asking

    • @AZ4Runner
      @AZ4Runner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought it back in 2015 and I only paid 2K for the 10 Acres.. right now there is land for sale around there but @ 60K foe 80 Acres.
