I'm probably one of the lucky ones I guess, never had any problems with the fingerprint scanner from day one. T-Mobile variant ✌️
Improvement for me too. The finger print sensor in screen is the one thing that I'm not so keen on (not just LG's). Face ID (proper version from apple), fps on the side on button (Sony style), or a second fps on the back like LG of the past.
I've had LG phones since the g2, loved the LG flex and others, and I'm using my LG v60 for as long as I can!

I still use my LG Velvet all all of the time. Sure it's not the power house that the V60 is, but it's still the best feeling device while using it in your hands. Always feel like that aspect gets ignored with these giant devices. There's just something about the way the device curves into the palm of your hand that feels so good.

I'm missed my LG v60 and watching you go over the improvements. I went and got me another 1. I just wish they would gave it at least a 120hz or 90hz 2k screen and a pop up camera. That would of took care of the notch on both screens and that would kill any flagship for sure, but other than that Im loving it. I forgot how great them dual speakers are too.

They kept the screen at 60hz because of the second screen. Battery life would be abysmal at 120hz. It was a worthy compromise for the functionality of the second screen.
I really love your passion for LG. I'm a fan too. I owned a V20, G8x, v60. But by accident Indoor my camera of the G8x, but it's sound is so good. Comparable with Sony black DAP. My next phone is a G8x with dual sim😊

I like everything ram is fast enough for me but it would be nice to have more Hz that's for sure. Plus V70 sounds so much more cooler. Unfortunately LG is done.
60hz is only choppy to you because your eyes have gotten used to 90hz and higher. I had an S20 FE with a 120hz refresh rate and I just got a brand new, sealed LG V60 and the refresh rate isn't an issue for me at all.

I'm watching this on my brilliant LG v60, android 13.
With ESS sabre Quad DAC, 3.5mm headphone socket, aptx adaptive, sd card slot, removal second screen, tough as nails, great outdoor use... Costing me originally under £650 for the 256gb version with second screen. There is absolutely no other android phone around that tempts me in the slightest.
I am wondering what to do when security updates fall too far behind.
The options that have sprung to mind are the Samsung s23 ultra but not impressed in comparison with that. It keep my v60 as a portable music and basic phone, and a small phone for more secure use (the iPhone 13 mini is the obvious choice). The only phones that have tempted me are the larger iPhone 15 because of the advances in iOS that make it better for my use (lockscreen use, scrollable smart widgets, better app integration than I get on android eg OneNote, 6-7 years of updates and enough oomph to last, truebit audio output - why does Google not seem to care about audio quality).
However, meanwhile I'm continuing getting the most out of the best phone I've ever had, the LG v60.

I stuck a short flat pen sleeve on the back of my dual screen and got a flat stylus. Means I have a handy stylus whenever I use my v60 dual screen. And in the case of my v60 I stuck a prop kick stand that pulls out to allow me to watch my v60 propped up when not in the dual screen case. And it gives my finger a ledge for holding the v60 securely without adding to the width in any way that makes any difference for me.

I had a long way to my V60, from V20, 30, 35, 40 and 50:) I love LG despite they quit. So, I bought recently my dual screen V60 for $350 new T-Mobile. $350!!! Seriously?! No competitors at all now. Screen, sound, DAC, camera... Love it

Those features must be specific to the T-Mobile variant because it's not the same on my Verizon model.

I have 3 T-Mobile V60s in my household, all updated to Android 13, and none of them playback in stereo with the current LG FM Radio app version 9.70.1. Our older LG V series smartphone variants do playback FM radio in stereo. Is there a rollback version to allow stereo FM Radio playback compatible with Android 13?

Good video as always! Just wanted to say that most phones outside of Lg have sub par sound quality if using a cheap dongle!! If you done that same test with a high quality dac the results may of been a little different?

My v60 works supers first 2 weeks after the updates. Strage things start happing yesterday.
Went to bed with 98% battery. Work up with 31% this morning. No new apps are installed.
No apps was runnng either. The battery never went down this fast. Usually woke up with 90 % and up. I am usuing it with the dualscreen case.
Any ideaa boss? Help help
Try factory reset it and see if that works
@@TheTechPreacher. It was the dual screen case that was draining the battery. Very strange because the dualscreen was not turn on at all. Once i took it off the phone. Charged up the phone to fulll with the cable directly. Now the batt is working like it supposed too.

Hey Tech preacher something you can mention in your videos, my At&T LG v60 now has android 13, also AT&T now fixed update problem, you don't need to be registered on their network anymore to receive updates, my past few updates I did not need a AT&T sim card anymore. I am located in Canada even. And I still have Widevine CDM L1 security support after the android 13 update, I just checked. And man em I am happy with the new features and performance I will definitely be buying another V60 very soon just for backup. The lock screen looks even cooler and the pattern lock is also more smooth looking. I also noticed a huge increase in speed in the fingerprint scanner. I can't wait to keep trying out the new features.

I don't even recognize my phone with 13.nothing works as before. Text messages do not send it if the blue have to restart. Automatic display brightness get stuck. Wifi call very spotty even next to my modem. And now problem. I wish I could go back to 10 but I can't
I think they didn't bother to much polishing the upgrades since they don't make phones anymore

I have the DT 990's by Beyer Dynamic. They're 80 ohms. Trust me, this DAC blows anything else I have out of the water, and I have hundred dollar audio interfaces. It's actually kind of blowing my mind the difference it made. 80 ohms isn't even that high, not compared to serious studio monitors that are running 250+ ohms. Regardless, My MBP M1 Pro has Apple's new DAC that I think is 96k Hz 32 bit? and yet, it's as if I just plugged it into a first gen iPod compared to this phone. Really glad I didn't sell it when I was trying it out before this update released, it just earned its spot as my portable music player for sure.
Yeah when you still can turn on the quad dock but not the high impedance mode.the hi-fi app does a pretty good job of sending you notifications to let you know which mode.
Need to have at least 50 ohms. Oddly the only headset I have that triggers it is if I plug my Bluetooth neckband that has an 3.5 analog connection into it. Which seems kind of odd.
I know the dac won't work on low impedance. I highly recommend the Sennheiser 560S HD. Then tweak the sound on the built in EQ. I bump the bass up a bit. For 150 bucks your going to get the best sound. They are an open back design. They are 120 ohms and the LG has no issue driving them. I also will confirm that the DAC seems to drive louder now. Those headphones sound as good as stuff that cost 3X the money.

I don't have the option under tools in the picture for magic eraser, I think a Google One membership is needed. My options are Blur and Color Focus and I get a pop-up stating Google One membership is needed.

even though I am an iPhone user and a pixel user I do wish LG continued to make phones and that people saw how good they actually were. I owned a few an actually enjoyed them over what Samsung offered. fingerprint speed doesn't bother me but I did enjoy LG devices.

I agree iOS is the main positive or negative depending on your needs. You really can't compare the HW between the two. But if you want Android the V60 is the most uncompromising device you can buy full stop. Actually will do allot more then an Apple device as well. Mainly because its still has SD card support and quad headphone jack means the rest of the competition can't even compete. Being they discontinued those features completely. So if your needing those features everything else will be dead in the water.

I got the blue color of Verizon version a month ago after i traded my Sony Xperia 1. I like this so much because it has better performance, UI experience and battery life. And it also has bigger screen than Xperia 1.

The one problem that I did not need, that it created is manual mode camera shutter lag! Here we are on a beautiful Sunday at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and all of a sudden I'm experienced something that has never happened beforehand which is super annoying Vibe killing shutter lag! I will report back if it continues to happen but it short was extremely frustrating! The only Silver Lining is, I will be forced to learn manual mode!

My v60 is sadly on its last leg 😢 I have a s23 ultra and a s21 ultra also and although I love my v60 the s23 ultra was an improvement in every way. The transition from the v60 to the s23 ultra was very easy it just out performs the v60 in every way😊 And mind you Ive been a lg fan since the optimus

That's strange My v60 from AT&T already has the icons option and has had it all the way from Android 10. Kind of weird that the T-Mobile version just got it now with Android 13. I've always had those four options. Wallpaper/themes/icon / always on display
And in fact I've always had those four options on my G8X unlocked and my AT&T LG wing. That's really weird that there was no icon option for Android 12 on T-Mobile.

Apple usb c to 3.5 is underpowered on android devices, you can Google it, all have this problem. You might wanna use some other audiophile adapter.
