He’s worth half a billion, doesn’t live in the U.K. doesn’t pay taxes here and he put out a video telling people to vote Labour. If he’d said vote Tory I’d of said the same thing. When a person is worth 500 million and doesn’t live here or pay taxes I’d say they are definitely out of touch with every day folk living and working in the U.K.

He may have more money now, but he was already massively rich then, multiple houses all over the world, and owner of a football club etc.

He’s much wealthier now plus 35 years have passed since this interview and he’s being living a very wealthy lifestyle for so long that he’s now completely detached from reality and has no connection at all with ordinary working people. Mick Jagger is the same. Jagger used to be very anti establishment in the 60s, now he’s Sir Mick Jagger and very much a part of the establishment. Once a person has been very very rich for 40 or 50 years they will lose touch with realty
