Great interview again from Scott Adkins. Keith Cooke is an underrated martial arts actor. Extremely talented.
I always love when Scott praises his guest. The part where Scott says "that's because I watch people like you" in response of Keith saying Scott is a beautiful kicker shows how much appreciate Scott has for the generation before him. And then he follows up with praising the next generation of martial artist "and now they're kids doing kicks I can't even believe"

Damn I'm so head over heels about this series. It's still surreal to see so many of my inspirations all on yet another inspirations TH-cam channel back to back to back. Keith Cooke as Dakota is immensely deep rooted in my martial arts upbringing. Man, his voice is the exact same as in his interview in "The Best of the Martial Arts Films." He spoke on having to make your kicks wider and more exaggerated for the camera than you would in real life. His kicks impressed me so much, especially since I was so much of a naturally gifted kicker myself. I went on to win the silver medal in Korea in the International Hapkido Federation Kicking division in 2008 after working daily on them. I'm just blown away by this series every time.
I can't say it enough Scott, thank you SO much brother.🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿💯💯💯

Keith Cooke is a wickedly good martial artist. I'd rent movies from the video store just because he was in them, even briefly. He was so fast and smooth with his kicks. I still get chills when I watch Mortal Kombat and the "Reptile" voice pops up right when the techno music starts. That fight scene made the film for me.

Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao with a translator would be perfect. Keith is an absolute legend, brilliant in China O'Brien and King Of The Kickboxers.

Great interview. The man is definitely a legend. I'm also a King of the Kickboxers fan, so cheesy yet so awesome.

The first time i saw Keith Cooke was in 1995 here in the Philippines when he did a movie HEATSEEKER with Gary Daniels.
Keith Cooke is a man of many qualities, accomplished in the arts of Wushu, Tae Kwon Do and Karate. He started his WuShu training in 1973 under Roger Tung.

I met Keith years ago at a martial arts conference in Vegas. I think he was in his 50's at the time but could be wrong. Anyway, he taught me how to do a 540 and was explaining it while doing it midair lol. He has always been an inspiration to me. I know own my own school and still think about the training we did that weekend so many years ago.
