Read the book Of Jasher, and maybe study all religions, also find out who constructed them. There is Logos in all but you have to read the real deal researchers of 1800s & before; because most books are written with a formalised uniformatarianism narrative, and it hides that Genesis what really re-genesis, after a cataclysm hence 'go forth and repopulate(multiply). The Gospel of Ma rcion also has useful info.
Then there is the 4 floods written in our proper history backed by chronology, much has been obscured & editted to hide the truth. . . .
Giants are also the commonality in all the epics, but really they're bigger humans that live under a Vapo ur Can opy, which when it fell caused one of the past flood stories. Follow sub to who I do & test your be'lie'fs.

That is incredible. His movements were the fastest, crispest I've seen in a long time, and by the end of the fight I was certain he could do comedy as well. Had he lived longer and decided to be in front of the camera, he could have been big.

"Gorgeous" is such a great and innocent movie, stuck in a single moment in history and seems content to stay there, and yet beloved by fans for its tiny unique quirks, considering it being a Jackie Chan movie.
I don't even remember much about it, but its impression lingers. Jackie Chan plays a very inward character this time around, to contrast Shu Qi's more outward personality. Very refreshing to see Jackie's performance in this.

The thing I liked about this scene was that after Jackie's servant helped him up and congratulated him for winning the fight, Jackie's character corrected him by saying he lost, because Brad was smaller, he was actually the one who won, had they been in the same weight class, Brad would've beaten him easily.

Well, in this movie you don't have classical villains. Jackie has a rival in business who he used to be friends with but they are out of touch now. Brad was hired by this busieness man but not to hurt him. He was hired to show Jackie that he isn't the best in more than one field. And Brad accepted the contract not because of the money, he accepted because he really wants strong competition. It's actually their second fight. Brad won their first one because Jackie was out of shape. During that first fight Brad used continously bigger gloves to give Jackie the edge and to not seriously hurt him. That's why it is so significient in this match that it is now reversed: He started out with big gloves and had to change them for smaller ones.
Also, ultimately all of this benefited both of them. Jackie's life was downspiralling even though he didn't notice it because he was rich. He was out of shape not only physically, he was also falling behind in business and he lacked a meaningful relationship. It's unusual for a Jackie Chan movie but this one is actually mainly a love story. That first challenge fight kicked off his transformation, he started to train seriously and as a side effect he also revised other aspects of his life including his relationship with a love interest. He didn't have to work hard for anything for a long time. So, all in all Brad and his former business buddy did Jackie a favour because by the end of the movie, he got his bite back (and the lady of course).
I like this movie for all of these aspects which are a departure from the typical formulas. He didn't fight for that girl as a trophy or something, there is no bloodthirsty villain as the "boss encounter" and the sportsmanship between these two is phenomenal.
I still prefer Jackies true classics like Dragons Forever, Wheels on Meals, Drunken Master II and Projet A, however, it's refreshing and important that Jackie has movies like this in his resume.

Jackie's a clown. A likable clown, but a clown nonetheless. Not saying he doesn't have legit skills--of course he does. But this type of "fight" is not my cup of tea, I much prefer the gravitas and realism of Bruce Lee's classic fight scenes. And I'm certain that Bruce would mop up the floor with Jackie. most of jackie's fights are "upbeat" and "good natured" by default given his choreography and performance, but i always liked this one because of how genuinely good natured it felt, in and out of context. it's rare to see this side of martial arts displayed in films, especially nowadays

I love Gorgeous. Even among Jackie Chan's long list of awesome fight scenes, Gorgeous has always stood out to me. I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that Brad Allen's character, if just a cool guy when they go at it. He's not looking to be a dick or malicious trying to cause harm, he just wants a good fight and, especially during round 2, that's exactly what he gets.

Jet Li vs kong lung (Black Mask)

Always enjoy watching Jackie Chan's comedy in films like Rush Hour, Rumble in the Bronx, Drunken Master. I always loved that he was the opposite of many if his contemporaries in that they wanted to be badass hero whereas Jackie loved playing the scrappy underdog.

Lmao I love how in a lot of Chan fight scenes, partway through he'll have some stupid epiphany that totally works. Like in that one where he's like "treat it like training", and same here with the smile. It's like psyching out your opponent. Everyone knows there ain't nothing scarier than crazy/unpredictable

What makes me admire Jackie Chan and his art the most is the humility of being "not invincible"... the guy who can get hit and return the blow!
And so he manages to show the Martial Arts to the fullest, because his opponents are also big, as in this extraordinary fight!

One thing to look for in Jackie Chan movies is that he and whoever is fighting are always wearing contrasting colors so they stand out and are distinct. If Jackie is wearing white, his opponent is usually in dark colors, and vice versa.

Ok, so, if you didn't know the bald guy in the background is Crazy Legs Ken Lo, Jackie's personal bodyguard. If you want to see him in action watch the ending of The Legend of Drunken Master. Or simply put in the search Jackie Chan vs Ken Lo. Ken is a 6 time martial arts champion. The dude is legit
