    Thanks Chase.
    Because of this review I have upgraded my boots from my Alpinestars Coryzal boot to these 5.5's from Leatt. I ride a Tenere 700 both on/off road. I've never before worn Moto x boots and these will take a lot of getting used too due their extreme stiffness to me. But I made the leap due to this video and that here in OZ they where on a massive sale from RRP 0f $659 down to a mere $355 because of the change in the Leatt distributor. My intension was to get Tech 7 Enduro boots @ RRP $550 instead, but that sale price clinched the deal for me.
    G'Day
    from the land of OZ

      @@aps-pictures9335 Well so far OK, but their stiffness and weight are taking a lot of getting used too. And the squeaking is still getting louder.
      Ive been asked why a limited experienced off road rider has such good boots?
      I reply " Because I have limited experience"
      Again thanks for your review.

    Today went with this boot from leatt. I tried SG12 Enduro but it is very uncomfortable for my wide foot. Leatt 5.5 has good feel right on first try. Lets see how long they last.
    To add one thing. I was very happy for 7 years of riding with Forma Terrain TX boot.

    They look perforated. Wonder how the air flow is in them? So far those AStars Supervented are the only ones that don't seem designed to create swamp foot.

    Their sizing is kinda weird compared to others, a 42 is a US 8.5, but they say it's an 8. Would one get a 42/US8 or 43/US9 for 8.5?

      Hmmm, that's tough because I wear a 9 and they fit me spot on. However, I would rather wear a boot that is a tad too small vs too big so I'd try the 8 first and see how it fits. Don't forget about our Fit Guarantee". If you buy a size and need a different size, send them back in brand-new, unused condition, and we give free two-way shipping on your first exchange. Just don't ride in them or wear them outside. Try them on in the house and see how they fit. - Chase

    Ran these boots, pretty good for the price. Until I had a branch rip thru the top of my boot and into my foot ripping 10 stitches and almost my toe off. Pretty random but after the accident I switched to the SIDI ATJO's as they have slightly more toe box protection.

    • @armourbl
      @armourbl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just from seeing the video, the toe box protection seems lacking to me. So, I'm glad to hear your feedback on that. My Sidi's have been practically bullet proof in that regard. Although I did once get my foot caught between the peg and a boulder and the rock literally cut through my boot right where it briefly transitions from plastic to leather. It cut deep enough to also cut my foot and leave a scare, but no stitches needed.

      Were talking about boot and puncture protection. As for plastic parts "sticking".. If you keep your feet on the pegs then you avoid that problem. I had that happen to me once or twice when I first started to ride with SIDI's.. High sided off a 6' drop into a river bed once. Keep your feet on the pegs and its not a problem my friend! obrigado

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      When it comes to the SG12, it's hard to beat the durability. I don't have enough hours in my flexlocks to give a good comparison in durability. The 5.5 has a little better feel on the pegs, holds the ankle in place well, and has great support. Only thing I didn't like is the pressure points they give me on the ankle. And what more can you say about the SG12 other than it's bombproof, looks awesome, best buckles, and has everything you want in a boot. I just wish it was a little lighter and the sole wasn't soooo stiff. - Chase
