AlexZAfRo run the lowest wing settings for all the cars and max camber, with no toe, that will get you the fastest results for every team

Real F1 do it in Kph, I guess that also depend on which country you are in, I am in AUS, The TV broadcast uses kph here

Mercedes: 203 mph = 327 kph
Ferrari: 200 mph = 322 kph
Red Bull: 199 mph = 320 kph
Williams: 204 mph = 328 kph
Force India: 203 mph = 327 kph
Renault: 201 mph = 323 kph
Toro Rosso: 199 mph = 320 kph
Haas: 201 mph = 323 kph
McLaren: 194 mph = 312 kph
Sauber: 198 mph = 319 kph

KPH would be more accurate because it's smaller steps. 1km instead of 1.6km (1mile)

You should have done the test in Kph as the units are smaller, you might get more accurate results

Yeah but project cars is trash so you only really need the money for f1 2017
With KPH you can get more accurate comparison since the values are higher and there is more of a chance to get the most information out of the testing.

this game was realistic. If you played career mode and chose mclaren honda, your powertrain upgardes wouldnt have an effect

Well remember F1 2016 ? McLaren-Honda got 2nd best performance if upgraded to the max like can nearly top the mercedes

You must do this tests in KPH because game rounds up decimal points in HUD. However miles is 1.67 times of a kilometer, so top speed in miles gets rounded up more than kilometers. So when you see both teams 200 miles, they might be 333 kmh or 334 kmh and therefore different from each other.
Two points: 1- kph, 2- set wings to 1 front, 1 rear!
Please make comparison with time of lap of every modern cars. Not just max speed. Its more important for choose)

On F1 2016, i hit 232 mph down that straight (with DRS and slipstream)
Maximum Top speed with upgrades from Career Mode it can go around 380kmh with DRS on
You forgot to use the DRS.

It would be a little bit more accurate in kph because it's a little bit smaller and more accurate(at least I think)
I'll be so confused round baku when I first drive it in 2017, as the last turn before the long straight/fast left right chicane because the barrier doesnt run up to the apex anymore
The reason red bull are as fast as Ferrari is that they have less drag which is why they have been of the pace this year

2. You called the Renault team a "customer team".... I hope that was just a mental cramp.
You haven't really looked at the revs of the car, the red bull was revving much high than the Mercedes so when you activate DRS the merc will have more speed to gain than the red bull. I know the test was without DRS but you're going to use DRS in the race so it's something you need to take into consideration when picking your team for career mode
Kph is better because you'll get a more accurate number. More numbers more precise.
What about acceleration? In how many seconds from 0-100 KPH? Top speed doesn't necessarily mean how quick you are in a straight line.
He is testing top speed, not acceleration. Top speed in a straight line is important for those tracks that have long straightaways...
I'm going with Williams don't think they produce much downforce and have Mercedes power
Obviously they didn't have much information to base their numbers but they did okay, sure they must update, on a hot lap the McLaren isn't that much slower. The new 2017 cars DRS effect and the slipstream are pretty accurate and good if it wasn't for the fact they made the engines differ quite a lot on acceleration where honestly I think as long as you have good traction no car or engine should get alongside you on a short straight whereas in this game it happens a lot.

Well, since this season the F1 also displays MPH along with KPH, but I agree - KPH is more accurate than MPH
You should do the same with DRS and mix4 just for cool comparison :-) great vid.
In reality STR runs a good bit slower than RBR, at least in the beginning of the season.

Actually I think it's the Sauber because of less downforce.
Mercedes can reach 347kph if you run 1 areo ,1 rear hight and 6 front, high tire pressure ...

Just picked this game up after playing the demo and I'm getting a veering glitch almost on every straight away. If I don't correct it the car constantly goes left. I can't stay on the racing line because of this. Playing on a PS4 controller, any ideas what to do?

dafgrt It doesn't mean the same my friend. You can have a lot of downforce with relative less drag. A perfect aerodynamic would be a lot of downforce and little drag. What sauber has is little downforce and lots of drag, so they are slow in corners and in straights. McLaren (and merc and ferrari) have lots of downforce and little drag so they are fast both in straights and corners. You have no idea from what I see
Mercedes powered teams like Mercedes, Williams and Force India have the highest top speeds than the Ferrari powered teams like Ferrari, Sauber and Haas, Renault powered teams like Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Renault and Honda powered McLaren
In real life the mclaren was 11-13mph slower than the Mercedes

thats not representative to real life. the ferrari power unit is far superior to the red bulls renault power unit, its especially been shown this year by the huge increase in drag. the merc power unit is just untouchable.
It could be, Red Bull have been chasing a low drag set-up because the Renault PU isn't as quick. That's why the top speed wouldn't be much different.
