- David Brewster playing Metallica's 'The Unforgiven' during a Metallica tribute group guitar lesson at The Musician's Den (Evansville, IN).
I miss the monster Marshall rig. That was a good sounding setup Marshall EL34 100/100 power amp, Marshall 4x12 cabinet, and a Roland GP-100 Preamp/processor. On the pedalboard (if memory serves correct) a Dunlop 535 Q Wah - MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive - Ibanez Tube Screamer - and a Danelectro Chicken Salad Vibrato pedal.
No wisecracks about the fact that I'm sightreading during the solo. For some reason I just didn't have it memorized...LOL!
Thanks to Jason Holder for shooting this video!

This was several years/rigs ago, but back then I would remove almost all of the effects and just have a good clean or slightly overdriven tone from the GP-100, and then boost or tweak from the pedalboard.
I did use delays and reverbs from the GP100 too.
Brewster. Damn brother. It's Stu.....you ol' SHRED MASTER YOU!
Cool. Great job with the guitar.
I remember your Zakk Wylde Tribute on his bday! gawd brings back memories lol
Nice playing mister Brewster. Nice rig also.
Can you please tell me how that EL34 100/100 sound on low volumes. Is it even possible to play it at apartment levels?
Sorry on my bad English.
+Sony Soni Hello!
Sorry it took me a year - but I just found your question.
The EL34 100/100 is a great power amp, but it really is made to be played/used at a decent volume.
You can totally use it at lower volumes, but that would be like driving a race car at 10mph.
It's great - and LOUD!
This guy should have a TH-cam channel 😂
Do you connect your overdrives to the input of the GP-100 or to the fx loop of it?
