Yeah exactly. The tape that the book is mentioning seems to be about a company meeting where they discussed some massacre that Boxy committed. I bet they kept discussing to kill him and the prototype. Boxy was alive in 1995 so they just locked him away. I’m sure this tape would have been the third tape in project playtime which never happened. I hope they’ll eventually explain and complete the story of this amazing and mysterious character. They simply must.

Like can you imagine one day waking up in a completely different body with likely no memory of who you are (or who you used to be) where you can’t walk properly or you try to scream for help but no one can hear you? In writing this you do this BEST by SHOWING the audience the gritty, detailing why it happened, and how. Think of the Medical Pavillion in Bioshock 1 in terms of a "show not tell". More was said to the player in terms of the openness of the level design, and ambiance given. The tapes were just the added bonus...

We now know alot more about Bobby bearhug, we know what she looks like in her bigger Bodie initiative (which is from a fanartish) we also know her Experiment number, and we know what was happening to her in the past, which it's heartbreaking but it's also interesting to know.
This was a very interesting video on the handbook and made it worth the watch. It reinforced how bad the experiments were on the toys and that all of similing critters did have their own bigger body versions. I do hope Boxy Boo is in Chapter 4, along with at least one of the other smiling critters, to tie the story back to Chapter 3.

Furthermore, Poppy stated Cat Nap was The Prototype's last defense, yet we're gonna encounter more experiments that potentially follow him. It's safe to say that Dog Day and Poppy are examples of belief over actual reality, since they both have stated something to be fact without any actual evidence.

It feels like Boxy as the first bigger body and a character that was designed to literally defend the initiative, would be highly important in the story. I’m never really sure if the devs are just saving his story for later because he’s important and very dangerous which is obvious, or if they fail to ever fully let him shine. I hope they will. He has a lot of fans and is the only main character with an incomplete story. As his behavior is like the prototype‘s, he might defend him, or he’s just hiding in the darkest abandoned lab. Imo, the timeline only makes sense if our Poppy is the OG and there may have been a second Poppy who was actually the family member that died, because, yeah, there is a decade of time that puts events apart. This could also give us a moment where we may get seperated from OG Poppy and we meet Ludwig's Poppy and we could see how they are different. It would answer why Poppy has the first and why Ludwig had a Poppy - they are not the same Poppy

Though I don’t think the developers intended on us falling in love with Dogday. Chapter 3 is heavily based around FNAF’s style of having lore hidden deep within the game. So they most likely dropped bread crumbs for any theorists out there to find out who Dogday was before he became a toy. Doctor Sawyer was made to be a pretty big deal but not the main antagonist, just a yes man. It’s rather tragic because Dogday was everyone’s favorite character due to his innocent he felt but learning this will flip a switch in people’s perspective of him. Would be like learning your favorite TH-camr did something awful enough to get canceled.

The Smiling Critters line would’ve been successful if the nightmare incident didn’t occur, but the cartoon would still fail because Catnap is creepy and the way he makes his friends sleep is disturbing for a kid show

Now that I think about it, the bigger bodies of smiling critters may have been created by alphabetic order of their names, or animal species. First Bobby Bearhug (1186), Bubba could be 1187, than Catnap (1188), so 1189 may be Craftcorn, and 1190 Dogday.
The other smiling critters were used as blueprints to make catnap, so their numbers will come before 1188

yeah its kind of a grey area. My thoughts are, playtime co was so powerful that they had ties with the government, so it all got swept under the rug. Something like that

The most security that you can find both before and after the “hour of joy” is strong doors which is not entirely verified over its effectiveness considering the rise in problems
