I see Kissy as an orphan since looking back to Bron's creation, the toys can clearly tell he was different, like a "you may be a toy but your not one of us" type of deal. Being a former Playtime Co. employee is likely what triggered their attack on him but they might've accepted him if he was a orphan since the toys have noticeable resentment towards the employees
Perhaps Kissy only killed those workers because she would've been seen as a heretic and if she didn't and the other creatures would've tortured and killed her too.
yknow i had a theory that maybe kissy missy is actually made from Mrs Parker, i believe thats her name at least from the VHS talking about the orphan girl's nightmares caused by catnap
