- Hi,
a 10:1 transmission is really useful when it comes to counters or clocks. here's an unusual approach, which can actually keep up with the usual solutions.
Enjoy watching,

Small build today, because I'm on vacation right now. Enjoy watching!
Still sick man
I always love seeing new Lego mechanisms
Amazing mechanism!
This Guy never sesis To Blow Me Away with his Creativity
This is amazingly clever! I've been dabbling in lego clocks, would be interesting to experiment with the ratios on this concept! Never seen it before, thanks for sharing!
So you've essentially created a sort of inside-out strain wave gearing? That's absolutely genius!
Damn, now I want to design a 3D printable version based on that concept, which of course I don't have time to be doing. Ugh, TH-cam is too inspiring!
Edit: Or I could make something like this with bike sprockets and stacked roller chain...
Oh, this one is really cool! Thanks for sharing!
Another smart idea! Thanks for sharing!🙂
Brilliant.
Makes me think of cycloidal drives, which is pretty cool
They kind of are cycloidal drives, but the outside wobbles around the inside instead
Wow genial
That’s wild
But IS IT 10times powerfull?
There's probably some kind of loss, but it's actually more powerful than I expected, I'd guess like 7x the motor's strength
hooray 500 likes :)
Isn't that sth like a cycloadial gearbox or sth
Yeah, but more like the reverse of that. Not the inner gear ring changes shape, but the outer one
J
early!!!
You got more talent than you thing. keep going!
Tonk
This is just weird looking strain wave drive
Yeah, the difference is just that the outer ring 'wobbles' insetead of the inner one
