    As a hard gainer my 2 issues were poor digestion and dehydration. Later I found out they’re related as you need electrolytes mainly salt to make enough stomach acid. Most people are eating enough calories in my experience, they’re just not absorbing nutrients.

      Have you figured out how many calories will put you in a surplus? That's the first step to gaining weight. If you need help figuring that out, let me know. If you don't think you can get all of those calories with whole foods, then looking at a weight gainer will be beneficial. You obviously don't want to be getting all of your calories from weight gainer, but 1 shake a day could help if you're a hard gainer.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should try to eat low volume, high calorie foods. Just toss that in Google and you should get some ideas. These are foods that don't take up a lot of room in your stomach (so you don't feel full), but they're very calorically desnse. Outside that, you could probably consider a mass gainer. Well, you can't just take mass gainer and expect to gain weight. You need to focus on lifting weights and getting in a caloric surplus. The mass gainer can help you get in a caloric surplus, but if you don't know how many calories you should be eating to get in a caloric surplus, then the mass gainer won't do anything.

      Mass gainer and weight gainer are the same thing. They're used interchangeably to refer to the same product, which is a protein powder that has extra carbs and fats. Before taking any supplements, I'd see if you can consistently eat in a caloric surplus with whole foods first. Also make sure you're training hard, and have been consistent in the gym for a couple months. You'll start seeing good progress just by doing those two things. Then you can start experimenting with mass gainers.
      (Disclaimer, I'm not a medical professional. I'm just a random guy on TH-cam. Make sure to consult with your doctor before taking any supplements).

      I just answered a similar comment on another video. Here's what I said:
      Like I've said many times, only use supplements as supplements. You should try and reach your caloric surplus as much as you can with food, and then if you're struggling to hit that target consistently, consider a mass gainer. You don't need to go a full serving size, either. It all comes down to tracking your calories and then deciding how to structure your mass gainer to facilitate your goals. On the note about saturated fat, most experts suggest only getting 6% of your caloric intake from saturated fat. So just do the math with whatever your caloric target is. For example, if you have a 3500 calorie bulking diet, then you can have up to 24 grams of saturated fat per day. In 2 scoops of Transaprent Labs, you get 12 grams of saturated fat. So that's only 50% of your target. Perhaps you only need 1 scoop though, so that percentage would drop even further.

My question is I’m not sure how many times a day I should be drinking a protein/ mass gainer shake and how many scoops of mass gainer and Protein I should be doing. Could I blend them together in the same shake? Also could I incorporate creatine into the shake would that help me also.

    • @feast_good
      @feast_good  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      100% do not blend them together in the same shake. Mass gainer will have enough protein, so you don't need to add whey protein additionally.
      I think you need to calculate how many calories you need per day, as the first step. Then, work out how many grams of protein you need per day.
      Once you have those 2 numbers, you can work backward. You shouldn't have more than 25-30% of your daily protein intake coming from supplements. the majority should come from whole foods.
      If you want to supplement with creatine, too. You can mix it in with your shakes, either whey protein or mass gainer. Or you can take it on its own. The important part is to take your creatine daily.
