No problem! Lots of people think I dont ever make mistakes coating, and I admit its pretty rare, but ultimately I am content showing people how to fix problems, even if I create them!
save yourself a lot of work and just do your silver, blue, then use automotive paint for the logo and then clear everything. you wont have any edge. You will end up with a much cleaner end result.
@@UnknownCoatings I own a powder coating business, just trying to share an easy way that solves the edge problem. That looks cheap with that giant edge. It would also solve the bleeding issue. I guess if I wanted to be a trash powder coater I could do it the way you showed, take much longer mask it multiple times, have an edge that a person could trip over and then have a subpar part to give to a customer.🤷♂🤷♂
@@UnknownCoatings My customers want perfection like I do. So, the edges on your caliper are a no-go for me. I will try it with paint. The same goes for the coating of the back side and the masking.

Beginner question: why do i have to split the caliper? Why can I not coat them when both halves are together? Thank you!
Nice work. Thanks for showing your mistake and how to fix it.

Question on brakes. When you do a brake backing plate, do you soray the whole plate, or do you mask off the part that mounts to the axle. Thanks.

What program do you use to get factory logos and size them for cut?
I make everything in illustrator, most factory logos can be found in vector form online, then it's just a matter of sizing
what plotter do you use? @@UnknownCoatings
Could you reverse mask the logo and spray yellow as the final step after the silver/blue? Or does it still bleed with the gelled coats?
no, because it will pull the blue thru the yellow.
what did you use for stripping the powder?
CHeck my new video, you can see my input on my new stripping setup!
Do you cut or make your own logo?
Yes. I have a plotter to do all my own sticker work
