Thanks, I enjoyed this very much. You really helped to remind me of Oscar whom I enjoyed seeing at Chelsea. At one point, Chelsea WAS Oscar. His industriousness and unselfish nature is an example to all professional footballers.
The money argument only works if you don't care at all about playing in a competitive league ... 5-10 millions is enough to support his family forever, let alone getting that on a YEARLY basis ... It's not protecting your family, its acknowleding football is nothing but a job, which is absolutely fine but let's just be real
You know Football careers are so short spent. U can be riding a high in Europe for 3-4 years. Next thing u know u can be in league 2 with everyone forgetting u with 40k/ week wages ( it’s still a lot ) but stills props to Oscar to try to do smth different!
In my recent FIFA 20 save, Oscar joined Wolves. And on my Football Manager save with AC Milan, he was my first signing, and he was a POTY candidate. I would love to see him return to Europe, but I don't blame him for wanting to earn big money in China.
It's totally on him that he did not get called up by Brazil after he went to China. Renato Augusto (Beijing) and Paulinho (Guangzhou) both made it back to Brazil's starting XI after going to China (Paulinho also got a chance to play for Barca).
A new fan and now a big fan. Love the content and the care and production put into. It avoids trying to copy the Sky Sports model of hosts and punditry (FD and Copa 90 im looking at you). Keep it up
Great video, think one scenario how many professional athletes has gone broke after retirement, by him wanting to play for Shanghai, he has accumulated possibly generational wealth for the future, making it to the highest level of the game is already an achievement, in his situation football has now become a job, if you into a profession and a new employer comes by and decide to double or triple your salary it will be daft to decline it.
Another player he inexplicably sold was Juan Mata. United couldn't believe we were selling him. This, despite the fact they've under used him since imo.
You can hope all you want, it's not happening. No team in their right mind will take a player who has played garbage level football for 4-5 years and will more then likely demand massive wages. He made his choice to sacrifice his career for money. As a football fan, that pisses me off. Doing it for one last paycheck I can understand. But doing it when you aren't even in the prime of your career is disgusting. People would sacrifice everything to have his talent and play the game they love at the highest level so seeing someone just throw it away for more money pisses me off. I have no sympathy for his dead career and applaud Brazil for never letting him into the Seleção after his move. He made more money in a second at Chelsea then his family did in a month when he was growing up so he was far from poor and could have set his family up for life already. He became greedy, nothing else.
Last time I saw Oscar, he scored a goal against Germany in the 2014 World Cup... after they got destroyed by 7 goals.

Much Love from Portugal, love the videos keep it up
Yoo first.looks like a great one
bro just a tip, in brazilian portuguese we dont make the (sh) sound for literally every S. So its not dosh shants its do santos like you would say in spanish anyways
I’m in Australia, he plays against my club in the Asian champions league most years, still a decent player imo.
Thanks, I enjoyed this very much. You really helped to remind me of Oscar whom I enjoyed seeing at Chelsea. At one point, Chelsea WAS Oscar. His industriousness and unselfish nature is an example to all professional footballers.
Fun fact. I coached his children in Shanghai. Really nice kids. And his wife was also very friendly
And his sister?
The money argument only works if you don't care at all about playing in a competitive league ... 5-10 millions is enough to support his family forever, let alone getting that on a YEARLY basis ... It's not protecting your family, its acknowleding football is nothing but a job, which is absolutely fine but let's just be real
You know Football careers are so short spent. U can be riding a high in Europe for 3-4 years. Next thing u know u can be in league 2 with everyone forgetting u with 40k/ week wages ( it’s still a lot ) but stills props to Oscar to try to do smth different!
I saw Oscar at heathrow airport right before he left to china. I was so confused
i knew you know to much of football to be a Canadian :D (cheers from Portugal).
Well he is Canadian
In my recent FIFA 20 save, Oscar joined Wolves. And on my Football Manager save with AC Milan, he was my first signing, and he was a POTY candidate. I would love to see him return to Europe, but I don't blame him for wanting to earn big money in China.
Guy I swear the instrumental hooked me shit works
Nice one brah, an awesome video
Nice vids, miss oscar on european competition definitely have a potential, next : Michu
The usual Brazilian mercenary
Remember him for the only goal that was scored in Brazil vs Germany 1-7 world cup match
Omhhh man he and william's duo. chelsea once had gems
Alongside Ramires too
It's totally on him that he did not get called up by Brazil after he went to China. Renato Augusto (Beijing) and Paulinho (Guangzhou) both made it back to Brazil's starting XI after going to China (Paulinho also got a chance to play for Barca).
This was really well put together, thanks!
I was at that Juventus game. Insane scenes
A new fan and now a big fan. Love the content and the care and production put into. It avoids trying to copy the Sky Sports model of hosts and punditry (FD and Copa 90 im looking at you). Keep it up
My 2nd favourite player of all time. 💙Gone too soon 🥹
And BTW: 5:31 was not his 1st appearance, it was his 1st start.
Oscar was a gem for Chelsea.
Love him. Forever a Blue 💙.
Wait why did Brazil call up Renato Augusto (who plays in china) and nor Oscar to their 2018 world cup squad.
Amazing video as always, keep up the good work big man!
Can you make a video about his fellow countryman who currently plays for Guangzhou Evergrande and Once played for Spurs and Barcelona?
loved the "no judgement" quips. XD
Man with Oscar in the Chinese National team, Afc will totally be a different story
Happy for oscar

What do u mean 2 premier league titles for oscar? Which two epl titles u were saying?
I actually do watch some of his games in the CSL, lol ESPN plus will take you to some odd places
They show those games on ESPN+ ?
