Living near O’Hare the more I look at this it’s incredibly clutch and I will make this my first travel card. I’m trying to travel more and more and this card includes a lot of stuff that’s great for it. I have other chase cards and they’ve been good to me.

I’m in Denver, and fly a lot to Cancun and some to Europe. United has a lot of flights to where I’m going, and prices are competitive, so this card makes some sense for me. Pretty sure I will apply onboard during a flight and get the 65,000 SUB
I have this card and the business version...for 5,000 bonus miles every year. IAH is my hub and I am flying Air Canada today, so I got into the UA lounge today.
This card has been in my wallet for a long time. Plan to keep it there. Been denied lounge access a number of times due to overcrowding. Hopefully that is resolved with the new lounge at Newark.
I live near Gainesville, FL. I usually fly American airlines. However, I found out united airlines flies out of Gainesville, FL. I have American airlines credit card. I might think about this. I enjoy watching you on TH-cam ❤
I applied for it a while back (2015 with a score of about 660/670), but not sure about the underwriting atm. Given the current environment on lending tho, I would say you might want to be above 670 for sure and around 700/720 with low/no utilization to be safe. With that said, no guarantees and best of luck 🤞
Yes, I do believe so. You can use both passes, but anything after that would be the standard $59 dollars. There are data points from other people who have also been able to do this exactly. Thanks for watching fam 👌🏿
A hub is basically a headquarters or base where most flights leave and return. So think of it as where pilots or flight attendants are based. Hubs are also usually where you will find connecting flights, for example when you fly with United, you usually connect at a place like Newark, Chicago, or Denver as they are United Hub airports.
Do you know if I get this card and after year 1 and I upgrade to the United Quest card if I’d be eligible to start using the $125 credit and the 10,000 miles credit the Quest comes with?
From what I can see, yes. There isn’t any anniversary language in the terms and conditions, so I would assume that once you upgrade, you will be eligible for the credits. I know another creator (SledgeTeamInc) who upgraded his gold card to a plat and immediately was able to use the credits. Different issuers but I figure it would be the same haha.
@@JPBuffet I’ll give it a shot 12 months from now after my first year is up! Also, my first checked bag is free as long as I use my United Explorer card? Even if all I pay is the taxes and fees if the flight is covered with points? I didn’t see it say reward booking being exempt. Last question, do you get charged for the check bag and they reimburse you? If it is reimbursed how quick do they reimburse you? Sorry for the bazooka of questions 😂
No worries haha. Yes your first check bag is covered. You will see this reflected when you purchase your flight. This also goes for points too, as long as you have the card, the perk is activated. Also, no reimbursement, it happens automatically. Hope that helps.
The United Explorer card is a solid card and one of the best $95 airline cards. I currently have 0 airline cards but I’m sure I add a couple of those $95 cards (bonuses). Team Carry On 💪Thanks for the information JP, keep up the great work!🫵
Thanks Cesar! Yeah it was one of the cards I got before I knew about the power of credit cards, so I didn’t take advantage of it at all. Thanks for tuning in bro!

Yeah. It is pretty dope especially since a lot of people love Star Alliance partners.
Thanks for tuning in fam 👌🏿
Thanks for this one, I’m going to be leaning into United if delta doesn’t come to their senses in the next year lol
Yeah, if my player 2 was more open to it, I would have kept the card. Solid Mid-Tier Travel card in my opinion. Thanks for coming through Chad 🙏
This card has been in my wallet for a long time. Plan to keep it there. Been denied lounge access a number of times due to overcrowding. Hopefully that is resolved with the new lounge at Newark.
Oh word? Yeah I can see that making sense, given how big of a hub Newark is for United. A new lounge would be ideal.
Thanks for tuning in fam 👌🏿

Yeah. I think it is a solid card for the price with a lot of value.
WHen I read this had primary rental car coverage and tsa precheck, that sold it! I can't get it until June due to 5/24.
Yeah. This card is so solid. I think it is great especially for its annual fee. Thanks for watching fam 👌🏿
How high my credit score have to be to apply for this card?

Can I bring my wife with me into the lounge or do I have to pay for her to get in?
Yes, I do believe so. You can use both passes, but anything after that would be the standard $59 dollars.
