Yes this is true, and I learned that it had to do with its Soviet past.

Croatia's Soviet past? My goodness, countries such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania that actually do have "Soviet" past all have red passports. So does Slovenia that shares the same past as Croatia. No, Croatia's blue is simply the color they chose when they became independent, and they kept it even after joining the EU as the EU burgundy color is simply a recommendation, and not an EU's directive to its member states.

@walli3236 what Soviet past?? We were never under Soviet or American, we were independent, people could get easy an Yogoslavian Passport back then and leave Yugoslavia, learn before You talk

@nenadcubric2663 Not entirely sure why you're replying to me. Maybe your English is a little rusty. Yugoslavia was a block-free country, not exactly "free" as it was heavily reliant on Western loans and Soviet weapons. I guess, it was as free as any other third-world "non-aligned" country today is "free" of Chinese or Russian influence. Yougoslavs could travel to the West since late 1960s, not before. Primarily because Western countries needed workers, and the Yugoslav government saw the growing army of the unemployed as the threat to the regime. But this is off-topic. Croatia was never "Soviet", neither was post-Yugoslav Slovenia. Two countries are both in the EU, have different passport colors. I already explained why this is so.

Is more the USA which is a Third World Country, if you look how many Jobs American need to work just to survive, or look at those Streets of Homeless American People!!... Thats the real face of an third World Country, in former Yugoslavia, most of People di own theyr own property, House or Apećartment, and many say they did live a better life back then, then they live today in this so called "Democracy" which is basicly nothing else then Real Dictatorship, nothing else

@@JPBuffet Thanks. My country's passport may not be as strong as Singapore's passport but I'll never replace it with another passport because even if I do want to reside in my future wife's country, I may eventually come home when I need healthcare the most!

@@madkhaliqfarhan makes sense. Passports and citizenship are always good to hold onto if there are great benefits. As a side note, Malaysia 🇲🇾 is definitely on my places to visit. Hope to see it someday soon.
