There may not be many 'coupe SUV' offerings on the market - and that's a good thing, some of you are probably shouting - but there seems to be at least one new option every year. What do you think of this one? Get our full story here: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/2023-haval-h6-gt-review
Just went and test drove one, I loved it! Beautifully designed interior, aggressive lines on the exterior plus that race mode, boy was that a fun surprise when you put your foot down! Placed my order and due to stock availability I will be driving away in my sapphire blue H6GT by week’s end. Very excited, especially for the price point
I agree with some of the things the reviewer said but not with all of them because he is not truly informed and spend enough time with the car and used the car system. First of all you can customise the menu in the car easily. The most basic functions that you are using are under the display with couple of physical buttons. The warnings and all whistles can be easily turned off and even lower the sensitivity. The gear box is not perfect but not bad. Going backwards there is no problem whatsoever. There is another reviewer going backwards with 60km per hour without any problems so how he managed to do that. I reverse from my garage and no problem whatsoever. The transmission is way better than Kia Sportage the same gearbox but no one is complaining about that one, that one is complete rubbish but it's Kia hey it's going to be good. I own haval h6 and the suspension is not a problem as well it's on the softer side but very , very comfortable no one complains about the softer suspension on Mercedes. I have lived 25 years in Europe and I know how Mercedes drives and what their comfort level is so I'm not saying the haval is on that level but it rides very well. To be fair the reviewer doesn't complain about the suspension but everyone else does. Haha even one saying the kids were throwing up in the back sears because of how floaty it was, complete bullshit. Everything is ok, yes it can be polished a little bit more but it Works normally. When you are waiting on traffic lights take off your foot from the break paddle and the car will start moving straight away, you just need to learn how to use the gas paddle because of the small turbo lag but i was afraid after listening all of the reviewers about the lag, how I will go from complete stop to up and go but believe me there is no problem. And yes I'm not paid by CCP or anything:), contact me I leave in Melbourne and I can give you a ride if you want haha
Awesome looking machine. I enjoyed my test drive so much I purchased the Ultra in blue. Amazing value, spacious and 7 yr warranty. This SUV comes with everything except DAB radio and navigation. Yes, I will lose money on depreciation, but all cars are money pits. Race mode is great fun with the DCT thumping on upshift and growling on the exhaust. 😀 I can't wait for it to arrive. I recommend taking a look before being negative about the brand. 👍
Watched all the reviews on the H6 GT and we put a deposit down on a black Ultra to replace our ageing BMW X5. I’m normally a Euro car snob, but this thing looks awesome, especially for the price. The performance is zippy enough, sounds crazy, but if I wanna go fast I still have my BMW M3! Very good choice for a family vehicle.
Thanks for review. The H6 GT is sharp looking unit in my view and despite not being perfect in all things I suspect it will be a pleasant vehicle to own especially in terms of value for money. Cheers.
I’ve had jolion for 13 mths and an no led foot, mostly freeway driving and use eco mode but 9.2 Is lowest I’ve ever got and never heard any jolion owner getting less than 8.5
Have you noticed any compression of the sound from the stereo? I picked my new H6GT up last week and the sound is terrible. Quiet sounds like song intros are amplified too loud and when all the other instruments kick in everything is squashed. It sounds like a compressor or a limiter, or some kind of automatic gain control in the head unit. The dealer is saying they can't do anything. It's a brand new car. Never heard a stereo that does this in 30 years of driving.
@robevans5408 Did you get this resolved in the end? I've heard a few people complaining about the stereo system. However, some say it got much better once they started playing around with the DTS, using the EQ etc. Apparently the default settings straight from the factory are very underwhelming.
Nice addition in Australian car market. Also chinese cars will break japanese monopoly which they have been looting their customers from decades and give no features except 4 wheels and one steering. Hopefully they will give a v tough competition in the market.

Pretty poor reviewing in this video. Getting pretty old now that reviewers dont know how to access items through favourite buttons on steering wheel or just swiping down on screen brings you shortcuts to everything , there is no need to go through menus that’s just someone who hasn’t learnt how to use something before reviewing. The whole screen is customisable for you to put all your favourite items on your main screen Never had any issue finding gears, no rolling back . The elk and other features are all changeable to less sensitivity , beeps or message alerts and volumes of tones is all adjustable. Just another ill informed review with some obvious biased opinions
Thanks for the feedback mate. Believe it or not, we do take this sort of criticism on board. We'll work to be better at this aspect in future videos. - Mike Stevens
That's good to know as I'm hopefully getting an H6 Ultra 4WD soon. I've seen how customizable the screen can be and turning warnings (beeping) off etc. Imagine how frustrating an Apple Car would be with that one button that does supposedly everything. ;)
@@WheelsAustralia I certainly hope so because we as the public rely on good and honest reviews and reviewers. Most seem to rush through and nitpick or give false information, which doesn't reflect on the true array of features or customization options available in a particular vehicle, which is very disappointing.
so sad people buying chinese cars thinking its almost the same as a japanese offering until they cant get parts, they cant get dealership support, they cant resell the thing for much more than a potato cake and a dim sim
So sad how racist people think being anti anything China is smart. Any selling them since haval launched he’s models last year are selling for price they were new or close to it . Take your racist hat off and give an intelligent comment
