  • This week we check out the 2022 HAVAL H6 Ultra HYBRID SUV, the 5-seat, mid-sized family SUV from China's Great Wall Motors (GWM). Filled with all sorts of tech, is it good enough to cancel that order for a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid? Let us know what you think?
(Special Thanks to HAVAL Australia for our Test Vehicle)

I own a H6 and the best thing I was told about it was DON'T try and learn everything at once, focus on things you want to do, learn and understand those and move on to the next one and then everything just becomes second nature and its true. We are about to purchase a Jolion ultra hybrid as our second car, well worth the money in terms of what you get.

Ur comments about the screen. You can turn those camera functions off . This car has so many options so you need to learn how to ise ot. Air-conditioning can be controlled from main screen

I love my h6 hybrid. It needs more buttons. Suspension is ok. Seats are ok to me anyway. ELK I would like to turn off permanently. Other than that. I love it. I'll get run flats eventually to

yeah agree with 100% you've said. We love ours. ELK I would love to turn off permanantly but have learnt to live with it. I don't think the bumps are too bad.... we live on a dirt road and it handles it pretty well... One thing that does bug me, is there a way to save your seat settings based on the key used? we can't seem to find a way to save personal seat settings...

    Very informative review
Perhaps mildly biased 😊 but longevity should be the test, very popular here in South Africa 🇿🇦 as great value
    Cheers 🍻

    The H6 LUX petrol is advertised at $36,990 - the hybrid $42,490 - a $5250 premium The H6 Ultra petrol is advertised at $39,990 - the hybrid $45,990 - a $6000 premium
    Fuel consumption on the petrol claim 7.4 l/100 - hybrid 5.2 l/100 - saving 2.2 l/100 At an average of $1.80/litre, that’s a saving of $3.96 per 100kms.
The LUX at $5250 premium would take 132,575 kms to cover the extra cost.
The Ultra at $6000 premium would take 151,515 kms to cover the extra cost.
The Rav4 hybrid premium is only $2500

I’ve previously had a Prius and the battery was under the seat. This created issues as a lot of people forgot the vents were there and blocked them with towels etc after being at the beach or storing other items. It’s a narrow space but was an issue and caused overheating for them. I imaging having the stuff in the boot instead protects from this.

Don't forget that legally in Australia you shouldn't be reaching for buttons on the entertainment screen whilst driving anyway so it shouldn't even be an issue

Does the sunroof come with a shade as standard or is it always allowing the sun in?

is Haval planning for any software update for this car ? they need to turn down sensors a lot specially ELK... even if i change it to vibrate mode and low sensivity it keeps on bugging me 100 times in just 10 mins trip. apart from this issue very happy with the car but this ELK seems to force me to sell this car off.... talk to haval guys... service center guys are hopeless.

    1. Steering settings just make the steering wheel lighter or heavier to turn, power steering assistance, more feed back from the road comes to the suspension harder or softer.
    2. Haval h6 has a soft suspension some complain, first time i heard the words (HIT THE BUMPS HARD)
    3. no real leather in the car
4.how many k's one has to travel to get 6k back for buying a hybrid?(to break even)

At first I thought about the additional kms to offset the price but the drive exp of the hybrid is smoother and it gives you more power. I've just booked mine today with delivery in 10 days

How much more expensive is RAV4 since most components are from China?

  • @zimcoder
    @zimcoder ปีที่แล้ว +19

This felt like a "let's shit on this Chinese car" than a genuine review.. Aussie reviewers need to understand that not every car has to be exactly like the Toyota Rav 4.

The advantage of the RAV4 isn't clear now, but come back in 5, 10 or 15 years. The Haval will be in the crusher by then.
