- This what Canine Paroxysmal Dyskinesia appears like in a Jack Russell Terrier during an episode. It looks like a seizure, but technically it is not.. dog is conscious, alert & responsive with no loss of control of bowels. Typically lasting 4-6 minutes, but can be longer.
