Just bought one. Being delivered on Tuesday 19 Oct. Thought about the Echoplex, but it’s a tad expensive. 45 years ago, I bought a new WEM Copycat which cost £80.00.
Great pedal. Knowing nothing of pedals..I attempted to use my ear while selecting my first pedal. After many pedals the mxr instantly intrigued me. It was subtle and musical as he stated in the video. After 20 yrs, I'm digressing from digital back to good ole tube amp and some simple pedals. Loving it
@@donkeydarko77 - All he did was strum a single note. That doesn't not show what the modulation does. I realize it's a "chorus" effect as he said, but that could mean just about anything because there are ways to control the speed and amount of the effect. Very poor explanation.

Green sparkle. :( Mine is silver because it is the 10th anniversary edition. But the green one actually looks cooler. I picked the silver one, which was the display model because my overdrive pedal is green, so I wanted to mix it up a bit
I just watched your video cuz its what i've been looking for to. Overdriven delay and it was very helpful so I went out and bought it. Absolutely love this pedal!
I'm torn between the BOSS DD-7 delay and this one. Help! I need opinions. Also, I'm trying to achieve a more spacey kind of sound/noise at times, which is better for that? I know the DD-7 has a lot more to offer, but the MXR has a luscious, sweet and round sound.
+Mulder_01 The huge difference between the two is that the Boss is digital and the Carbon Copy is analog. I would say an analog delay is better for "spacey noises". Digital is super clean and crisp, analog blurs those lines a bit more. I prefer analog greatly so I would say get the Carbon Copy!
I would suggest the tc flashback for the spacey's atmospheric stuff. The boss for use in the amps fx loop or if you want bright sounding delays that literally repeat the guitars sound, the cc for everything else. It will not get in the way, you can do the dotted 8th note thing, and its great for those clean melodic passages.

very nice pedal, but you get more for your buck with the Boss DD7.
Master Exploder actually the Boss DD7 is the same thing as this pedal and much more but the Carbon Copy is still very nice indeed.
Different pedal with different features, and I don't want "more for my buck". I want the best I can get.
Master Exploder yes, the MXR is analog but the Boss DD7 is Digital and ANALOG.....!!! check it out.
