You're my go-to math teacher. Your videos have made summer school easier, especially because I'm learning completely new material at such a fast pace. I really need this, thank you.
I just found this on the algorithm under “watch again” and I realized I forgot to comment! You saved my butt in eighth grade, and I got accepted into a high school thanks to my high math grade 😁 Couldn’t have done it without you, thank you so much.
I noticed that, too. If he would have plugged them into the original equation he would have caught his mistake. I love his videos but you’ve got a keen eye there.
I know i am late to the party, but thank you so much! If i don't pass this test, i'm going to loose out on High school credits, and i now fell 10x more confident in myself and my ability to do this!🙂
I tried it out on my own, and got the same answer as Mr.McLogan... also --5 is not a number. Remember that two negatives cancel out and give a positive number.
You want to put it in slope-intercept form (y=mx+b) to keep it simple. Therefore, put the -2x before the 4. You never take the sign away from the number, so 2x cannot become -2x, and 4 cannot become -4. Since the negative is on the 2x then you have -2x and since the 4 has no sign it stays positive 4.
This dude elaborates too much it's confusing the students. Like when he says "you can replace them or substitute" like bruh just say substitute just keep it short and sweet they'll lose attention. Also simplify your vocabulary to them

Why be a troll? McLogan is teaching basic algebra here, which has nothing to do with sine waves, peak power, or rms values. Though given the content of your comment I suspect that you don't know what any of those words mean yourself.

You explain this a lot better than my professor, she just right notes and expects you to figure out each step on your own
Dang what’s your English professor doing smh

Thank you I have a test on all three in 12 hours this has really helped.
what did you get on the test ?

Excellent video! I'm relieved you decided put all three methods in one video.
At 4:30 the graph solution given is not correct. The correct solution should have been (-2, -5). The graph was crooked.
I noticed that, too. If he would have plugged them into the original equation he would have caught his mistake.
I love his videos but you’ve got a keen eye there.
He is amazing as a teacher. Love all his videos. I wish I had teacher like him.
such a great teacher👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much man!! Helped me remember the steps!
you make everything so easy can you please make videos on the harder things like quadratics and stuff
I have hundreds of videos on quadratics. Check out my playlists on my channel

Thank you so much for this compilation! I have a test on all of these in 2 days.
Boom!!
Send the test to me please
The first question graph was off, the answer was (-2,-5). Great video anyways!
Thank you, now I understand.
wow this helped a lot i have a test pretty soon good video!
So talented math teacher!
Agreed 🎉❤
Ok all explanation and steps was nice but if you can please explain about the graph in another vision 🙏
You just saved my grade thank you so much.😁
You are very welcome!!
I love this man
im in grade7 and this helps me
Bro tysm, I needed this badly
I got it👍
This is so helpful
i think the first one is wrong because i got (-2,--5,) i am using graph paper and i dont see the solution. Good video just a heads up

@@ninacilliers3225 yes, two negatives equal a positive 😀
at 6:43 why does it -2x+4, and not 2x - 4 ?? someone pls expain
How did you get 2x - 4? You should only subtract 2x from both sides to eliminate the x and so, the y will remain.
I am not understanding is there other way simpler
Yes
It's over for you
Well try to listen and then take notes on what he tried to explain. Or just what did you not understand?..

why did 12y+(-12) make it x=2 i dont get it pls someone understand
3 hours of studying fit into 13 minutes
I got (-2,-5)
I don’t understand the way you’ve shown it why adding or subtracting in the first step of the equations

Sir, are you by any chance taking students who've finished school? 😂😂
What do you mean?
@@brianmcloganit is a joke 😂😂😂
Even my students got this right and were very frustrated with your answer (4:30) and cranium surface/structure.
I found graphing so confusing since you were a bit fast found it even shed to register anything 🙁🙁😩😩

This is like a level maths. It’s dam hard
The solution for the question in thumbnail is (2,1)
Haha thanks!
