Well, that's a better view than I got at the time...I'm out there somewhere, fell in love with the festival that year, and I've been every year since. Great times...great music. And the beer's not bad at all...
Note the much younger Ashley Hutchins - red hair & all!! Still going strong 25 years later on Lark Rise Band & Rainbow Chasers both touring UK this year and very well worth seeing live.
I don't know that I've ever thought to look on TH-cam for Cathy Leserf before.... You can really see the cereal box guitar on this clip, and it's a little different Albion Band than I was quite expecting, or maybe even looking for. But it's sort of fun to see Simon, Dave, Ashley and Cathy doing this pop turn. And I really like part of her vocal.... th-cam.com/video/LLZlFxZtW84/w-d-xo.html
What exactly is the line-up here? I can't recognize anyone except Ashley, Simon and Cathy. I think I can hear John Tams' voice but I can't see him in the video. Anyway, great song, I love it.
I'm having trouble distinguishing the corn flakes box from the other guitar. I'm guessing the thin, buzzing one with apparently-infinite sustain is the corn flakes, and the hard, staccato Telecaster sound is the other one. Or is the other way around? Maybe I'm completely mixed up. Thanks for any info.
The thin buzzing sound with infinite sustain may well be Jean-Pierre Rasle's pipes rather than a guitar. The cornflakes guitar, as I recall hearing, was built using neck and hardware from a not especially wonderful Les Paul copy, and yes, a genuine cornflakes box covering the real body of the guitar.
Lovin' it. Keep it coming.
My favourite AB track ...... always loved Cathy's singing ..... she was on their best albums imo.

also unseen is DM (Dave mattacks) on drums
@@brianparker663 Dave Whetstone - this is the 'Light Shining' line-up

Not your English teacher then? ;D
Just kidding. That's pretty cool. good to see there're always new kids growing up to like folk.
Wow, I like the Albion Band. The cornflakes box guitar, is it actually made from a cornflakes box or is it painted like that?
Cathy had an absolutely amazing voice live. Her vocal performances always sounded flat and lifeless on record or CD in comparison.
