One of the best guitar solos of al time....!! And I have been around for a very. very long time.. snd seen them twice... once on this tour... !! Left the staium that night floating...!!
Was lucky enough to see this show in Syracuse / Carrier Dome. Quite possibly the best show I've ever been to, and, yeah, you're right, it was f-ing amazing live! Sound of course, but the stage set and production were incredible. Huge petal-opening mirror ball mid-field above everyone's head. The floating pigs... remarkable to see and hear. :)
@@brucemcewing7564 never heard of shows being on such a massive scale before seeing these guys videos 🤯. I'm glad you got to go and see it in the flesh!
I was there, at this gig. This song is a little overplayed, but as I saw this in 1994 I will have another look ❤ You seem to miss a lot of the light effects 😂
Dude, don't listen to these knobs telling you when to talk and keeping you eyes open. It's your channel, you react the way it's natural for you. If they don't like it, they can start their own channels. It's not so easy, I know, I've been on a reaction channel myself. Keep going, you're fine...
I want to watch the reaction to the the show and watching David, I understood closing your eyes when listening to the album, but really do you really think the audience paid to see their epic show, then didn't watch any of it😮😢
If you're going to keep your eyes closed you might as well just stick to the studio versions. A Pink Floyd concert and not watching is like going to a Star wars movie or Avatar and keeping your eyes closed! You're missing a $98,000,000.00 dollar production in 1994 dollars!! If that's the way you enjoy music so be it and enjoy. But it's a bit frustrating to see you miss most of the amazing effects!! You completely missed the giant orb opening! Still enjoying your enthusiasm!!
Now Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1)" Live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods (just make sure you find the Part 1 only for reaction not the 1 & 2 version)
The word "epic" is often overused. In this case it just falls short. Legendary performance by a legendary guitarist. Check out "Shine On You Crazy Diamond 1-5" next for more guitar heaven. Studio version first please.
David Gilmour is a great guitarist, see more videos of him from previous times, such as "dogs" from the album Animals and a performance outside of Pink Floyd at a Gdansk concert. thanks
Doing Pink Floyd you'll have more views and more subscribers, which is good as you deserve it. But don't forget to do more bands that seem a bit forgotten or more demanding and complex. Mix famous and obscure, it would great. Amongst the famous from that era, you have done Led Zep, Yes, Genesis and Pink Floyd. If you want a more rock side, try to do some CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival). They have short songs but these are often classics. Try Green River or Fortunate Son or Proud Mary…
Appreciate the recommendations - I believe I know fortunate son, but not the other 2 you mentioned from CCR so I will pop them on the list - lots of obscure ones on there, just trying to slowly work through them all will be the challenge! 😂
That was the 2nd last encore number after nearly 2 and a half hours of that quality. The final number that followed was completely different, but the perfect finnish. I suggest you channel Comfortably Numb, then listen to the end......and Run Like Hell.
Would you mind sharing what region you’re from? Northern England? As an American, I appreciate the regional accents of Britain and want to keep learning to be able to recognize the region from the accent. If you don’t mind that is….
@@helenespaulding7562 😂 Not too bad for a first guess! Not really keen on the Manchester accent myself, but I'm so thrilled to have someone from across the pond popping up in my comments, so thanks for that.
Fabulous isn’t it. You clearly enjoyed this version of ‘Comfortably Numb’. But I highly recommend you try this one too. Even if it’s just for your own personal viewing. I was lucky enough to see the ‘One Night Only’ Cinema showing of David Gilmour’s return to the Pompeii Amphitheater, in 2016, with his Band. (Pink Floyd’s previous visit being in 1971, when they were filmed playing ‘Echoes’, in the Centre of the Amphitheater, with no audience), which I know you’ve seen. And this version of ‘Comfortably Numb’, from that 2016 Show, is sensational. This time to an audience. And what a light Show this has too. All in the stunning setting of this Roman Amphitheater. You loved the extended guitar solo, well here’s David Gilmour at his stunning best, aged 70. Incredible. Just my own feelings. @@MusicForTheSoulReactions Yes, I’ve been at it since 1971, aged 15. First saw Yes live at my hometown venue, The De Montfort Hall, in 1973, I was 17. Jon Anderson, Yes’ lead singer and joint founder member along with Chris Squire, (sadly no longer with us), has just released a new Album called ‘True’, with a Group of musicians called ‘The Band Geeks’, who he discovered covering Yes music on TH-cam. Jon is 80 next month and his voice is phenomenal. Have seen Jon live in recent years too. 2017, 2018 and 2023. He’s currently touring with the Band Geeks in the US. Hoping they come here to the UK. The same goes for Pink Floyd. Since 1971. My first taste of them was ‘Echoes’, from the Album Meddle. The Studio recording of this is phenomenal too. 🎶❤️🎶
I think that David Gilmour is the greatest guitarist ever; however Gary Moore is right up there too. His live version of Don't Believe a Word, accompanied by his buddies Thin Lizzy builds to a breathtaking climax th-cam.com/video/A3u2iOnSWvM/w-d-xo.html
That guitar solo could draw a tear from a marble statue. How anyone couldn't be moved by it defies all comprehension. 😁
Anything from the Pulse concert is EPIC!!!!
PULSE - 3 hours of sublime, out-of-body epic magnificence, straight from the minds of the music gods.
No way to top that.
Respect to you for following the live gig recommendations. The Pulse concert brings this song to life in a way the studio version doesn't.
Pulse Sorrow, High Hopes, Keep Talking and Learning to fly are epic !
You can throw "ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" anywhere on that list. All epic
Yes they certainly filled the stadium (Earls Court, London) - for 14 nights in a row!
Best rock guitar solo ever and this particulary version is mind blowing!
