His original special was filmed 9/10/2001, and the original title of this special was going to be "I kinda like it when a lot of people die(not kidding). He had to scrap a good deal of his original material for it.
Yep I saw him in Atlantic City in August 2001 so I was one of the last to see his original show before he had to change it around. Side note, he did add most of the removed material in his later special, 2008 I think
There was traffic congestion on the freeway because supposedly somebody was contemplating suicide by jumping off a bridge. My mom says, "Just jump already so we can all move along."
"Can you imagine someone arguing this in court? And WINNING?" I think you just successfully summed up EXACTLY why this bit is SO funny! Because, even though it doesn't fit the way our laws work, there IS a certain degree of legitimate LOGIC to everything he is saying! (ridiculous as it sounds) "I am curious George." - The ultimate in; so simple, yet so funny.
I can. Some countries have courtrooms with religion allowed like the 10 commandments, Judges are allowed to belong to a political party, just the whole thing of breaking the country's own laws along with the shepherd rules. Breaking international laws, but who cares? just effin dandy! said Georg the Living, King of USA in the next election. Joe might appear more dead than Georg, but he is the oldest president so far. If you elect someone who is alive like Trump, we will build a wall somewhere, secret. Get angry or not!
Several months ago, you hooked me into your channel (permanently) with your reaction to some George Carlin bits, then I started exploring your videos and I just really enjoy what you do, keep up the great work and I can never get too much Carlin.
It's so refreshing to me to see young people open their mind to the basic concept of fundamental truth. Truth is usually not very pretty, but I think humanity would benefit if they focused her mind around the truth of every situation , thought, idea, belief, etc... When I was a child, I was sheltered from George Carlin because I grew up in a religious cult. I'm no longer involved with religion, and George Carlin was very influential on the way I think now. I see him as more of an educator than a comedian . I love the fact that younger people can open their minds and listen to what he has to think ✌️
This special was called "Complaint & Grievances". It was originally going to be called "I Really Kinda Like it When a Lot of People Die". I saw him live in the summer when he was touring it. He changed the name and cut a bunch of material when 9/11 happened.
First! Haha. Love me some George Carlin. I hadn’t heard this one, but it makes sense to assume this was shortly after 9/11 because of how he started. Reaction suggestion: Dan Cummins “here come the spoons” (stand up comedy)
I think George saw these things happening and puts himself in the shoes of the people who do such things, to make up the material about this, and a lot more of his material
George was my dad's favorite comedian...back in the day, you'd get an HBO guide in the mail, with the next months daily schedule of upcoming events, etc. We always got really excited for two things...George Carlin, and Emmitt Otters Jug-Band Christmas. The 80's were a great time to be young. I miss my dad...
Karens and Kens have always existed, but their antics and attitudes were unfamiliar to most people before the advent of uploaded videos. George is taking advantage of that unfamiliarity by doing absurdist rants based on what he thinks the K&Ks of the world are thinking, or in many case unfortunately, what they have actually said. A great example of observational comedy.
He is joking! lol. He is not being serious about not maintaining his car or any of that stuff! 😂 I think that if anyone could or would argue this in court & win...it would be George! 😂😂😂 He incorporates behavior he has seen that is annoying to others and uses it in his act! 😂❤
The joke, for those of you who missed Carlin's humour, was shoving a mirror up to our society and cranking our own absurdity to 11. The story preface sets up exactly what many people do: driving recklessly, not obeying traffic laws, driving in vehicles that have not been properly maintained (bald tires, bad breaks, severely misaligned, etc), and (often) knowingly creating conditions for accidents. This entire set is not supposed to be funny, it is Carlin pointing the finger back at the audience and saying, "you laugh but you do it too".
"I either ran over a sheep or a small man dressed in a sheep skin coat" What ? Only Carlin's brain could come up with something like this. Like you said the whole routine is absurd. Also "I'm Curious George" Hilarious! This routine is so far out there you have to laugh. Peace ❤
The worse drivers are the ones that go 30 miles under the speed limit to watch someone being pulled over by the cops, the cop is out of the car already busy he aint going to come after you for speeding
What do you mean you need Milk in Cereal? I hate milk so i used to eat it without anything sometimes i would use orange juice instead of Milk. I hate milk but i LOVE CHEESE!!!!!
Before 9/11 he had a bit where he talked about airport security and how stupid it is that they didn't allow guns in the plane, but they did allow a knife. If people had been listening to George, there wouldn't have been a 9/11. At least not like this.
I hope with the traffic bit, that he was playing devils advocate pov to make a more dramatic reaction to the seriousness of the responsibility and accountability you have as a driver. Let alone the compassion for injured lives as a result. I think, his absurdity in this part was to make you think about it. People that hit and run are cowards. And these rationalizations go thru those minds to avoid the punishment that follows. All at the expense of making himself the cowardly villain …
We are a 100 percent guilty.the only time I will stop is if im first to witness the accident.im gone if the person is ok or till the authorities get there.people need to mind their fucking bussiness
I like you, this comment is a mix of things, mostly about others. I think you fail less now in the attention to your intention overide logic goes noticed. The traps set by George, but you've watched enough to see George talking a lot about the real truth haven't you? Both, of us, know when he is real and sincere about good things for humanity, just lectures but highly relevant still, and highly recommended to a nationalist, self-reflection is healthy. ..but like 80% others..they takes in one thing, but cannot take in anything if a single word/mockery /contracting language to them, appears. then many forgot about the tons of evidence about the honest George. the only nation that thinks this is logical, is people who go against the excellent guy George in the past because he said my god is fake. the reactions will go on, filtering what to take in, and watch on without engaging in the things especially meant for them. sad really.
His original special was filmed 9/10/2001, and the original title of this special was going to be "I kinda like it when a lot of people die(not kidding). He had to scrap a good deal of his original material for it.
Damn, never knew this! That's quite something!
th-cam.com/video/YHXrvc6Mjds/w-d-xo.html; it was released years after his death it is crazy good...
Yep I saw him in Atlantic City in August 2001 so I was one of the last to see his original show before he had to change it around. Side note, he did add most of the removed material in his later special, 2008 I think
I remember this special. It was his first after 9/11, and was shown live from New York City. And yes, he DID touch on the "elephant in the room".
My son and I saw Mr. Carlin perform this bit live many years ago. Hilarious.
Love the Britt ends her segments with "Go have the day you deserve."
There was traffic congestion on the freeway because supposedly somebody was contemplating suicide by jumping off a bridge. My mom says, "Just jump already so we can all move along."
Omg! lol
😆
😂😮
You gotta watch his bit on the ten commandments, one of my favorites
"Can you imagine someone arguing this in court? And WINNING?"

I noticed on your YT videos you haven't done his bit about Prison Farms. I highly recommend it, very funny.
George at his absurd best !!
I was a claims adjuster for 6 years. I've heard these arguments from people. 😂
Please watch “The Trillion Daves” for maximum George Carlin dark humor and absurdity, its brilliant. Great reaction as always.
It's so refreshing to me to see young people open their mind to the basic concept of fundamental truth.

You should react to George Carlin Prison farms
I'd forgotten about this one. Damn his absurdist bits were fucking good all of it was but this was great.
BUT HE WAS INSANE AND CRAZY BUT HE OPENED YOUR MIND AND OF COURSE MADE YOU LAUGH AT THE SAME TIME! 😊
This special was shortly after September 11. George actually started this show explaining how he would have dealt with terrorists.
This special was called "Complaint & Grievances". It was originally going to be called "I Really Kinda Like it When a Lot of People Die". I saw him live in the summer when he was touring it. He changed the name and cut a bunch of material when 9/11 happened.
amazing how his mind works
A comic genius. Seen him live. Funny man

Hes makeing good points as usual

You can use logic to prove or disprove anything. So George is right in a certain way. Though the shot at Pokemon at the end was unexpected lol.

george was so good at taking you out on a limb that in real life would surely break. Genious.
So George driving was like Mr. Mugu. You mentioned false advertising, check out his bit on "Advertising"
Love the long braids ❤
If you like George Carlin, Bill Burr, I would recommend Louis CK. Just saying. Keep up keeping my day everyday :)
He is joking! lol. He is not being serious about not maintaining his car or any of that stuff! 😂 I think that if anyone could or would argue this in court & win...it would be George! 😂😂😂 He incorporates behavior he has seen that is annoying to others and uses it in his act! 😂❤

He may just have killed a pimp. 😃
I'd love to see you react to some Jim breuer particularly the AC/DC impression and the Chinese spy balloon stand up bit
It's comedy
Americas most watched spectator sport is accidents on a frwy. 😮
not his best bit but carlin is a genius.
It was a good reminder on what you are supposed to do during accidents. And how awful the people who act like George described are.
I say go ahead and drive away. The police need the exercise anyway lol 😆.
The worse drivers are the ones that go 30 miles under the speed limit to watch someone being pulled over by the cops, the cop is out of the car already busy he aint going to come after you for speeding
My guess is he was the only man on earth could have argued that and won lol

It's called irony...
I'm not certain, but I think he follows that with a bus full of nuns. lol
💜

This is his social commentary on the craziness in our time. It's a joke
😆

Could have done without the "don't do this" warnings but a fair review of comedy overall.
He's not being serious lol
You also shouldn't have George in your passenger's seat, changing radio stations.
Surprised you still havent watched on eof the ACTUAL best clips of him. --> th-cam.com/video/Pc0ZHsoHAlE/w-d-xo.html
This isn't about car accidents
I filed a lawsuit for hurting my hand when I used my fist and punching his head in for 20 minutes and I won! j/k lol
just jokes ; ).
Show's post-9/11; bits older, Britt.
Sounds like Trump court arguments 😂

You alright there kid?
@@Samurai_Stoner lol doesn't look like it
She is starting to lose me. Stopping George is at least a misdemeanor in my world. And trying to teach us a moral. Seriously, get over yourself.
This might have been when George started losing it.
Love George but not this one. Wishing you peace love n joy
republican would belive it
no more likely dumbocrats
