@@astromonkey1757 Even as someone that is "very cocky" in my videogaming confidence, I always end up maximizing the amount of user error possible before defeat in a permadeath setting. It should also be noted that money has no value to a mage, as the things which grant the most money on-final-blow (trolls, dragons) are those which they farm with the least difficulty. So any defensive upgrade is an immediate "yes"
