Mate love your work. If you hit the jumper wire with a hammer a time or two it flattens it, and it is easier to place components on. Less height and less Roll off
Woot 20k congrats 👍an good health to you and to all. Btw on that cables to replace nintendo switch bat for tests you should add a small ali power module set at 4.2V output. If you forget to adjust voltage on bench supply it can hurt :)
Yeah I was thinking about that mate, something to step down the voltage but I'm pretty sure the BQ IC can handle a decent range of inputs because the BQ24193 is very similar to BQ24196 (which is also compatible with the Switch), but I might try and make a custom PCB with a modified circuit at some point :)
Nice repair, very clever on the test cable. I have my old test battery that just got butchered for the board because of this lol. I'll give you full credit when I use it for sure.
Sorry to reply to an old comment but is there anything special you have to do to make one of these? If I hook up normally it does nothing. I read somewhere that the data wire has to be shorted but trying that didn't help. Then I head you have to break the connection of the TH line from the + line but I don't see how that would make a difference. Thanks for any clarification. I've made a ton of breakout test cables for GPUs and such but this one just doesn't seem to work for me.
@@DannyWilliamH Wow this is an oldy. I am no longer using the apparatus I described here. I retro fitted Switch and Lite battery connectors onto an iPhone battery cable (squid) The old white ones that have the red/white/black cables. Not a Quanli or Mechanic. On the switch I tied the two reds and blacks together (red with red black with black) and white just goes to white.
Hey mate great instruction as always! Do you know what alternative filters can be used for the chokes going to the port? I've got one here with a crack through it!! TIA
hey brother i have a switch lite missing bottom power in pad 4th from left and also the ground 1st from left l. those shouldn't cause no power? i checked voltage of power pin top row 4th from left and i get fluctuating .2 to 1.2 v ?
I could certainly take a look and see what I can do about getting it fixed for you. You can send me an email to hello@consolefix.co.uk if you'd like to arrange to drop it off or send it in to repair:)
I like the fact that you have a sense of humor and act human. 'Being professional' now seems to require people act like inhuman unfeeling bots. Which strikes me as ludicrous and suspect.
It's possible I could look mate but I've never worked on one before, so I would have to give a price once the job is done as I'd probably have to order specific parts for it so it may be a slow turnaround too
re: Switch batteries. I currently have 27 that I've deemed 'bad' ie: bulging etc. if you give me your address I'll bang them in the mail to you next week, no charge. (pun intended, lol) Consider it a tiny donation to your channel.
