    Love your journey 👍
    I got my white Ranger Sport V6 last October & it’s clocked up @ 8700km. I tow a 2.5T 19’6” Millard.
    I just tow an normal mode sitting on @ 100km/h. I get @ 17.7L/100km. Around town unladen I get @ 12L/100km.
    Unladen highway trip from Sydney to Nelson Bay & back it’s @ 8.6L/100km.
    Like you when going down steep grades I just use the manual mode. I’ve put a second lithium battery in the tub (120X iTechworld) & use a CTek dc to dc set up…..it’s never failed me👍
    I’ve put Airbagman on the rear with Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks. I will change them to ToughDog foam cell adjustable shocks….found them better on my Colorado.
    I have 20” Simmons wheels with 285x50x20 Toyo A/T tyres.
    I’ve also put the Raptor bonnet on the vehicle,,,,this also aids engine cooling…..& looks unreal 👍

      It sounds like you have an awesome setup, I like the toyo's, and I nearly went with them.

    I am on the same journey you are. I went in with good will. I have been very disappointed with my Ironman mods, fitting and treatment, in my opinion stay away. However, I have had good experiences TWD, good quality, good treatment and good work. Now I realize not all 4X4 mod companies, who profess will do the right thing by you, will do so. My advice is be careful and do your research. I live in Sydney.

    Could I suggest improving your production quality.. invest in a wireless rode mic.
    Audio is a big part of if the video is watched

    Could put compressor where dual battery gose under bonnet thats what im thinking of doing . I think under rear guard they would get covered in mud and shit other then that nice rig mate good luck with mods

      @10mmsocketAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not a bad idea under the bonnet, heat maybe a issue though, but then again, compressors get pretty hot anyway.

    Raise the breathers would be my first mod 👍

    • @10mmsocketAdventures
      @10mmsocketAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has raised breathers standard.

      @tyroneclarke1666 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would you raise the breathers. Are they less than 800mm high.

    Makes my Hilux 8.9l per 100 around town and 8.6 on a run at 100 kmh pretty pleasing.

      @farzana6676 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure why the consumption is so high on the new Ranger. The old Ranger was very similar to the hilux

      Bigger wheels and tyres and extra weight don't help. Hopefully when the motor runs in, i should get results.

      @joeblow1711 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I’d happily pay for the few extra litres per 100 to over take the hilux up hill while towing 😆

    I got my V6 two weeks ago and I did a 3000km trek with it this last week. So far i'm very impressed with it, especially towing and ride quality. Agree with the tow/haul mode comments, especially in hilly terrain.
    What is your experienced with the Stock vs OME suspension difference, is it worth it to do off the bat?

    • @farzana6676
      @farzana6676 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm hearing the V6 is giving very poor fuel economy? But others say it gets much better once the engine is broken in?
      Can you give any feedback to this?

    • @10mmsocketAdventures
      @10mmsocketAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      💯 worth doing, you don't want your nose pointing to the sky, but then again, depending on how much weight you're towing.

    • @10mmsocketAdventures
      @10mmsocketAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @farzana6676 I'm getting low 12's now, It depends on how many mods you have done.
      Running bigger tyres like I am will certainly cruel your fuel economy.

    Looks like your front tyre was touching the bullbar.

    Once you get canopy awning roof rack and roof top tent you won’t be near the fuel figures you’re getting now unfortunately

    • @10mmsocketAdventures
      @10mmsocketAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it will be interesting, 11.2 ltr per 100 at the moment with the bullbar and 33's.
