Can you talk about the plastic around the silage?

No worries Tim. The plastic ensures that each bale ferments correctly (silage is fermented grass/crop). It’s an anaerobic fermentation, meaning no air, a bit like sauerkraut. Silage has a high moisture content, which would lead to rot if air was allowed into the bale. The plastic is recyclable, the recycling program that we used last year seems to be held up this year so we are hoping it starts up again!!
