NBA Live and NBA 2k8 had slam dunk contests that were so different than what we get today, because we could actually dunk the ball back then, not participate in a QTE.
NBA2k8, my friend spent 20 minutes practicing a cartwheel, jump over the front of a car, backwards dunk. I stole it from him and did it first try in competition for what I thought was the win… then LeBron James, out of nowhere, for no reason, pulled up to the court in a limousine and proceeded to ensure that we both lost that day 😂😂
NBA 05: the greatest in Dunk contest and introducing the dunk contest and other All star weekend features. NBA: V3 was hella Fun Arcade dunk contest with the Sticks NBA 2k10: Had it perfectly with the Button Input and Pulling the trigger at the right moment. NBA2K:going forward ended up fucking it all up turning it to DDR but with Button rhythms and trying to make it an Exclusive DLC and can only be played once a myplayer season(if you even get chosen to participate if not your locked out) Thanks 2k
9:58 The live slander didn't go unnoticed. But we aren't ready to talk about (the gameplay of) Live 19' being better than the last 5 2K games, and it somehow (mostly) still holding up visually. 2K was certainly more ubiquitous, and people tend to go with what's more popular and has more "hype" (meaning marketing, lol) around it, not necessarily what's best. Plus I think Live fell short with extra modes and features later on, and outside of just playing a match there just wasn't quite as much to do, and what was there wasn't very engaging. The same thing happened with FIFA and PES. There were quite a few years where the gameplay of PES was just objectively better than FIFA, but FIFA had the top spot because of the buzz/hype, and there was just a bit more to do.
2:21 the IOC be watching 👀 before they flag the video for copyrighted footage. That probably won't happen with this video and I hope that isn't the case.

You should make a video about the fall of NFL 2K games and how EA Sports (Madden games) signed a contract with the NFL so they were the only ones able to make NFL games. 2K and the NFL recently signed a deal and 2K Sports released an NFL card game and are currently working on a NFL arcade style game since they can’t make a simulation game due to EA’s contract.
King of the Diamond is still in MLB 07 on PS2 and PSP as well, and for some reason the Home Run Derby was exclusive to the PS2 and PSP versions too? I mean considering the engine switch from Renderware to a proprietary engine for the flagship PS3 version, it might have been much more difficult to implement than I think it would be. Plus, I'm not really a game developer.
