The fight against the Lee at 43 minutes is so illustrative of a common problem. It's so easy in the age of frame data to think "I'm plus so it's my turn" and think that mashing is the incorrect answer, but mashing can be so rewarding! People naturally want to be greedy with their plus frames and so players like this Lee will get rewarded for mashing quite frequently. If you want a stable gameplan in online short sets, you need to open with stable offence, playing clean frametraps and not getting greedy.
You called out the correct answer straight away about respecting the mash. One of my many problems is so often that I'll tell myself "respect the mash" or "don't be afraid to take a low" and then spend the entire set just not changing my habit at all!
Thank you for the analysis! It's very true that there are some agreed upon "rules" for the game regarding frame traps etc that we ingrain into our play, but it's just as important to realize when someone's breaking those rules and understand how and why we can punish that kind of behavior. Hey, off of fisherman's you can do "b,2,4, dash, d,3+4,2, b,2,4,f~2,2" and it does 90 damage with bluespark, only problem the "b,2,4" doesn't work on Alisa and Zafina for some reason

For the jet upp combo i find it hard is this version okay? What i did was
Jet upper -> F 1+2 -> 1 -> B 2, 3 -> DASH -> D 3+4, 2 -> B 2, 1 F 2 2 ( or anything you can think of that will sqeeze in the last hit) but the one i listed is what i do for the damage
As long as the damage is comparable and you can land it, I think it's perfectly fine! At the end of the day, "optimal" is still optimal so harder combos are good to strive for, but if we're pretty much close enough then I believe that focusing on other aspects like neutral and punishment is more important overall.
