@ttb1513 -the good news is all the of Keys have an abundance of quality lobster spots (and lobsters). I've done a few trips out of Islamorada and had no trouble finding lobster.
I met with several FWC Officers to go over all the items/places you can't take lobster from. Bottom line, at least here in the Keys, if its man made and was: dropped in accidently, on purpose, sank, blown in by a storm, etc. you can't take lobster from it. I didn't know for sure until I asked for clarification.
@charlierichter3882 - I used Windfinder.com It is really simple to use and you can get wind direction and speed, plus wave height and direction. The most useful planning tool I've found. Thanks for watching.
We never take from artificial reefs. We do remove illegally placed items, like lobster condos (PVC pipe) that were placed by people to lazy to go and catch them legally. Thanks for watching.
Tanx mon, good to see things getting back more towards normal after that heat late summer.
The color hasn't come back on the coral yet, but things are definitely looking better.
New subscriber in Big Pine. Good stuff!
@jasonfrank345 - Thank you for watching, and subscribing!
Awesome info. Any idea how lobstering in the lower keys compares to the upper keys, like the Islamorada area?

Sweet! I have not chased Lobsters for almost 50 years.
Did not know it was illegal to harvest from manmade structure.
Good info to share.
Be well.

Traps take everything
It's almost impossible to visit any of the best offshore lobster spots and NOT find it surrounded by traps any more. Thanks for watching.
Dude, leave the artificial reefs alone
