As a deaf blind person, the fact we represented the touch shirts for people who are deaf so they can feel included, and what a game to introduce them to. Don’t see your Manchester United doing anything like that, that’s what makes our club massive.

Just finished watching, My Favourite is watching the growth of the ground.. Certainly the location cannot be beat. Shearers Testimonial was something i'll never witness again for an atmosphere. 3 hours of pure roar! Sadly that makes match days a bit meh! LOL But if i had arms long enough, I'd hug the stadium every time i pass it.. Not sure I'd be able to let go. So What's the best? My hearts attached to it.. I'm simply in love with it.

I can remember when you could still take your unfinished brown ale bottle into the ground and quite often if you were stood in the Leazes end you had to cover your head from the dropping glass fragments as the empties were hurled high into the roof girders!!

i remember the old Stands in the 60's with the peanut guy walking around pedaling his wares. dads would set their kids on the wall. Copper would come along to have tell the dad to take the kid off of the wall.😆.As soon as he passed the kid would be put right back on the wall again (I was 7) or being in the Gallowgate with a friend when a ball came screaming over the bar during the pregame warmup. Hit my friend in the head and knocked him down, an old bloke next to us says if that was ten yrs again that ball would have knocked him oot! 😆

Hey Eddie. Thanks again mate. I have a selfish reason i love St James. I was there with my Grandfather against Barcelona and he’d really worked hard to get us all there. We won and we all had a photo together in our shirts. It was the last time I saw him and that place was more important to him than I can ever fathom. He passed away that evening and he was happy. It really is a cathedral and I know there are thousand of similar stories. You cannot copy the Mona Lisa and it have the same magic. It’s great, decent people like you and Lisa that are why I love St James. No need for comment mate 😇

Location is the number one for me, everything else comes from that location, it has such a deep connection with the heart of the city and the people not just of Newcastle but the North East as a region, all the transport links that have been developed to move people in and out of the city enhance the location as it would be very difficult to recreate that network in a different location.

The Cathedral on the hill, one of the most iconic stadiums on the planet, but I’m old enough to remember how horrific it was in the late 70s up until the 90s, when Hall and Shepherd, started the redevelopment. The Gallowgate end toilets, my God, for anyone too young to have experienced them at that time were horrific!

Remember the Gallowgate well. My first game was 86. The Leazes End had been down 8 years by then (and would remain so for a further 7). I had to ask my dad why there was (basically) nowt at one end of the ground. He had to describe what it once was-and that it used to be the heart of the ground. Nothing quite said: 'club in decline' like the Leazes between 78 and 93.
Imagine Anfield being without The Kop for 15 years!

For me it’s the atmosphere. The people make the atmosphere. I’m bias, but Geordies bring the best energy and passion. My main reservation going forward is passionate fans being priced out of a new stadium and a higher proportion of corporate seats. We really benefit from home advantage and we all luv the buzz around the ground and the city on match day.

I was in SJP in October 2022 where we beat Everton 1-0. Back then, Anthony Gordon was still a Toffee player. I can still remember how Trips was showing AG who is boss! Haha! Everytime AG touched the ball, he was booed! Times changed and now AG is our player!
The atmosphere was superb. The energy was great. The people of Newcastle are fantastic. My only regret was that I spent too little days in Newcastle and too many in London! I will want to revisit Newcastle again after the stadium expansion. I am sure, by then, I will get even better experience than I did.

The neighbors are complaining about the noise, and in the coming seasons, the club may face a lawsuit. Let us wait and see

things i hate about it 1: the outside is a classic football look but it's beyond outdated, the glass needs a clean or replacement too. The Milburn stand entrance would be amazing if sela made a NYCFC style "cube" entrance to it. 2: the facilities like toilets are horrible and again with being outdated, similar with the executive boxes (1st world problem). 3: The steps to get up to L7 are brutal. 4: The screen needs updating, it's tiny and it's only visible for a quarter of the stadium if that. 5: i know it cant be helped but the east stand not being level with the rest. It adds for a somewhat unique stadium but costing the club millions a year when the demand is there (matchday income is very small compared to the top 20 clubs), and sucks out L7s noise. The stadium would be considerably louder for everyone if there was a level 7 stand all the way around, on top of the extra thousands of fans going.
