Oh, I definitely recommend rewatching Betelgeuse's scenes. Some of his dialogue get a lot deeper with context. "With my arm, with my fingers...You...You...You...You...You...killed her..."
Especially when Petelgeuse said that he cried. He only cried a few times in season1, and that is the one time he cried. Poor Geuse knows what he did even went crazy.
Just a lil correction: Geuse is a bishop for Sloth, not for Gluttony. The gluttony one appeared in the first episode of the second season alongside Regulus Corneas
And furthermore, it’s good to remind everyone that the archbishops all worship the witch of envy. The one who consumed all the other witches. The archbishops are only related to their same-sin witches by having their corresponding witch factor
Up to this point it was taking Geuse everything he had to not completely lose his sanity due to the witch factor being incompatible with him and the only thing keeping his mind in tact was the desire to protect Fortuna and Emilia. So when he was tricked into killing Fortuna by accident the shock and overwhelming feeling of immediate guilt for what he had done had him let go of what little he had left and he turned into nothing but an empty vessel for the Sloth Witch factor which Pandora in that moment molded into the insane seeker of love we knew in season 1. Honestly Subaru killing him was a good thing because it was truly mercy at this point. Geuse was already dead that body was pretty much just an empty vessal of evil. Subaru put him out of his misery in season 1
@teongreen5254 He was long gone there was no bringing him back It wasn't even like something had taken over him, what use to be there is dead and has been completely replaced with the witch factor. The Geuse that Emilia knew died along with Fortuna
The author definitely drew parallels between Fortuna and Puck, between the "Lia" nickname, the parental bond, also Puck saying that he left Emilia alone for a long time in the OVA. But idk if it fits chronologically because we don't know how long Puck has been around. If anything, it's a Puck backstory that I need now, more than the rest of Emilia's 😅
Beatrice calls Puck big brother. Puck is created by Echidna. Therefore he was created when Echidna was alive. In Emilia's trial we see Regulus use his authority. This means Echidna is dead since the current user is Regulus. Also Lia is a very obvious nickname for someone named Emilia

Idk if yall have been told yet but regarding not getting openings and endings, they basically cut them out to cover more material. When added to the extra length of the episodes, it gave them 7 more episodes worth of runtime in season 2 than what you'd normally get.
Always found it strange Pandora could will Regulus home with his wives but couldn't just say, "Emilia walked up to the door and opened it", wonder if she's immune to that witch factor for some reason
So if Pandora's ability is actual reality rewriting, at least this episode confirms it's limited. She can't open the Seal by herself, nor force Emilia to do it. She also appears to mess with what Fortuna and Petelgeuse see, as well as Emilia's memories. So there's a chance her power only affects senses/perception, not reality itself.
