This was the episode that really did it for me. In episode 1, Miyamura tried to distance himself from Hori because he was worried his association with her would affect her reputation, and Hori got upset with him because of it. Here we see his fears in episode 1 come true - only now he was more confident because of his friendship with Toru, Yuki, and Hori. Changing his look did not feel like he was giving in to the pressure to lighten up for Hori's sake. It was a natural expression of his newfound increase in self-worth. PS: even his choice of outfits showed the change. From a more formal suit that they bury you in at your funeral to a bright and sunny yellow cardigan.
Yay, Sawada's here! I love her and Miyamura's relationship. And I like that Hori's reaction to the girls fawning over Miyamura isn't just one dimensional jealousy. She's also pissed off that they're treating him differently just because they find him attractive after getting a hair cut.
After watching this part of Horimiya, don’t forget to also watch Horimiya: Piece. In this series, each episode feels packed with events, probably because it only shows the important parts. That’s why Horimiya: Piece was made-for the missing parts.
it wasn't in the video, but after miyamura pulled hori out of sawada's reach he told hori that they needed go. he was so raged that his eyes looked like eyes they were moving independently. hori loved all of miyamura no question but that was the version of him she had the hots for
The dad really gives me Papa Shirogane vibes. They're both hilarious with the troll energy, though Shirogane is a lot more awkward when he's trying to relate to his kids.
I’m pretty sure in the webcomic version of Horimiya it’s said that Hori’s mom was really bad with money, it put a strain on the marriage and Hori’s dad moved somewhere closer to his work. I don’t think they are technically separated but he does spend a lot of time away.
It's normal for couples to be away from each other due to work. Hori's parents are so cute tho, you definitely need to react to their episode in the missing pieces.
😍Dani🥰I’m cooling, watching ESPN and smoking. Lil folks, is with her sister, supposed to be shopping, but she finds the time to ask me if I’m okay. Smfh! 😂 She acts as if, I’ll fall apart without her. She has no idea how comfortable I am with being alone. The only time I ever feel lonely, is in a room full of people. On BD. I appreciate her consideration though. On BD. She needs to enjoy time with her sister, I’ll see her when she gets home. On King David. I’ll holler at you later gang. On Jaydo.
I've read and watched this series many times and that part were hori starts to take photos of him got me this time too I had some coffee in my mouth and that shit came out
I always thought that Hori's parents were divorced or were getting back together after breaking up. I don't think it's ever explained properly in this season though, so I might be wrong.
The Hori's are a family of trolls. Little Sota hasn't had his heart turn black yet is all. That's why they don't take shots at him yet. Everyone else, including each other, is fair game.
Never knew the subtitles for this to be this bad, that 1:43 "Don't fall in" and the 2:11 "Hot damn"... Seriously, who's in charge of this? 😓 It's one thing to take creative liberties, but they're just pretending they said completely different things.
What did he say originally? Because this might make more sense from a westerners perspective. "Don't fall in" is like PRIME dad humor whenever someone says they're going to the bathroom.
@McSireson Didn't really say anything, just "Go on, then." and with Miyamura it was, "Well if it ain't Miyamura." Even if it could make sense, to translate and to adapt dialogue are different things. But I can't say I'm surprised since subs and dubs have started omitting honorifics, even.
@@AndresGomez-ct7qb I'm surprised you just realized how bad the official subs are. If I'm not mistaken it was done by that one localizer who takes pride in butchering the Japanese language when translating it to English (could have been Pieces she did but the point still stand). English sub for this is terrible. I can understand some of the ways whoever did this translation did it, like the "piss off" when talking to Shindo earlier; however there are many, many times when the subs are just terrible and completely change what is being said.
@Whalebarf Only time I ever see subs are on reaction channels since Crunchyroll isn't available in Japan, where I live. And even if it was, I'd just watch without subs. But, yeah, I'm seeing the quality of translation has deteriorated a lot from the fansub era.
Japanese Highschooler are more mature with that kinda talk, sex are a normal even in middle school, teen in US look normal than japan if we talk bout sex life

WHAT A TWIST!
“Who the hell are you?”
The voice actor reverted to his Jotaro Kujo voice for a second!

Hori : My Miyamura
THE Hori : OUR MIYAMURA
lmao
You guys should give the dub a chance as well it’s so good
It's basically cannon event for fans of this show to go from hating Remy's guts to loving her like a dumb lil sister😭
The dad really gives me Papa Shirogane vibes. They're both hilarious with the troll energy, though Shirogane is a lot more awkward when he's trying to relate to his kids.
9:39 In the english dub, Hindou said, "oh that little thief" in like a funny way instead of asking what flavor it was.

I LOVE the perfectly cut scream at the end 😂

Ah yes, the famous Headbutter Miyamura, and his hero partner, Hand Crusher Todoroki.
Hori's dad is just away a lot for work.
Can’t wait for episode 8
My fav episode in this series
Of all anime girls out there hori might be the realistic character

No, the mom is just mad at him cause he stays gone a lot and Hori just kinda of follows suit
