This is the song I'm ending my "walk in the woods" with. I've been away from church for several years at this point, and tonight I found mine in the woods on our property. We had an accident today at our farm today that sent one of our own to the ER, and after doing my evening chores I found myself walking up the hill into our woods. I found a spot, cleared my mind, then found my phone in hand looking up hymns. I needed this walk in the worst way imaginable. Found myself getting back to God and His great love. Amen.
Today like so many of my past days, it was difficult to get up this morning. As I was flipping through my songs to find some inspiration to continue to live for today, this wonderful song passed through my heart,mind and soul this morning to remind me that each of my days are cared for , and Jesus Christ suffered for us more greatly on the cross than we could ever know. Thank you Joey and Rory. What a wonderful song.
On our first date, we held hands, walked and talked. Three weeks later we married. Both in our fifties and not looking for or feeling we could ever count on love again in our lives, God gave us each other. Our vows were not about me for her nor her for me. But for we and what we vowed to give and do. That we would always help others and never leave anyone with less, for the sake of knowing us in their lives. The twenty first of this month will mark sixteen years and we have yet to argue. We still feed and care for anyone in need, living on five thousand dollars less than the poverty level. We have no car, but are blessed with a few friends that know us for what we believe and are. Forever faithful to God, and to each other. He helps us find a way to apply His love and we rest in His peace.

They were a perfect couple, singing, farming, most of all, their faith in God. I cried so much the night they announced Joey's death. So proud of Rory for keeping things going.
Oh how I needed this song. It's so hard to completely give something to the Lord... we so often tend to take it to the alter, pray about it, and take it back with us thinking God needs our help with this one... We need to remember He created all that is, and He surely doesn't need US to help. But trust Him, and leave it there. This is beautifully sung, and so true.

9/9/23. I just discovered Joey + Rory by a "random" search of bluegrass Christian music. So sorry to hear of Joey's passing. Absolutely beautiful voice/talent. I'm praying for all her loved ones as I send this comment. This song and a couple others I've heard so far are a great help to me as I am grieving the loss of my long-time husband. Jesus knows the pain we bear.
Hands down, this is the best version of this song ever done. Joey is missed and never will be forgotten.

I discovered Joey just a couple weeks ago (May 2019), to great joy. Five minutes later, I found that she had already left us, to great despair. I keep trying to leave Joey in Heaven. But I keep being drawn to her wonderful voice. And my heart breaks all over again as I listen and watch. Hard not to watch ... hard to watch. Right now, it's hard to leave it there, Miss Joey ... It is hard to leave it there.
I heard Joey sing for the first time about two weeks before she left us. I felt "this is the voice I've been waiting for my whole life." I am not usually a fan of female singers. I adore her voice. Turns out it's as beautiful as she is.
You have the most beautiful, heartfelt music praising Our Father that I have ever heard. I hope you know how many lives you have, and are touching.
My Mom passed away in July from cancer. She was only 59 years old, and this song is very touching. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of my mom. Love you and miss you mom!!!

My wife and I just visited Marcy Jo's restaurant (it was where they filmed some of their videos and also the cooking segments on the Joey and Rory show). It was very nice...been meaning to stop by every time we've gone through Nashville and after many years of passing it up, we finally decided to stop. It was very nice...but also somber at the same time.

Hey! Judy, my heart is broke for joey and I have her journey here in Ireland. The woman is a saint. I am aware he said he would not sing again and it does not matter who he sings with again or not it would never, ever be the same for me. That lady has the most beautiful voice and happy face. Sad part about it is " awards and nominations " are starting to come now as they should have got ". Best group" ages ago. They stuck to who they were not crossed over to make money. God bless joey and may God and his blessed mother give her comfort, peace in this hard journey. Every day I check to see if any news and afraid to look in case she is gone. I don't want her to go" at all" but I and others have no power over " his decision ". Please god leave her as she is a very special woman and stunningly beautiful to look at.
