I find Central Park amazing - the fact such a big city has a singular massive expanse of greenery is so great to see, and seeing the skyline all around you makes it quite strange and sereal
There is this hack with the lamp posts all over the park. You'll find 4 numbers on the base of the lamp. the first 2 numbers, tells you the nearest street, and the las 2 numbers tells you if you are more to the east or the west. If the last 2 numbers are even you are on the east, if those are odd, you are in the west. And, if you go the Oak Bridge in the evening, you could find some Racoons in the area.
I smiled when you said "Don't worry boo I got you" thanks for the tour. I'm in St Louis MO . I am reading a book about birding there and wanted to take a look! ☮️
Before John and Yoko financed it, the "Strawberry Fields" area in Central Park was weedy and overgrown. They paid for beautiful landscaping which included plants and trees from all over the world. Now, of course, it is also a place to remember John Lennon and his message of peace. I lived in that neighborhood for a long time and sometimes saw John and Yoko walking in that very area with toddler Sean Lennon in tow--they kept him on a sort of long leash so he could not be kidnapped. Yoko remains a real and philanthropic force in NYC.
There is a secret survey marker behind the dairy, where the intersection of 6th Ave and 65th Street would have been. You climb the rocks behind the dairy, and you'll find a bolt hammered into a rock. It's the only known marker left from the original survey of Manhattan.
Amazing and massive park. You did venture into what looked like some quiet scary areas on your own though. I was really surprised to see a Robert Burns statue in The Mall area.
I'm going to New York in July and thanks to you I have been able to visit virtually through your videos that great city and its touristic places. Thanks a lot !!
Meer is a fancy British term for a lake that is broad but shallow... loved the birds and the skittish squirrel! This one looks like it was a lot of work, it’s really great, and glad you had some sun. I’m enjoying these neighborhood tours, thank you so much for all your work and effort and positive attitude. I look forward to watching them at the end of my workday.
Central Park is an incredibly designed place. Thanks Frederick Olmsted! Nearly 100% man-made but looks like it isn’t at all. Almost everything you see there was placed there by his designs and is not naturally occurring.
Umpire Rock is another great location on the south side of the park near Columbus Circle. Amazing skyline views from the top of a natural rock formation
228th view, 25th like and possibly the 18th comment. Whew!! What a tour! How’s your voice? Hope you are resting some between filming days. So good to see you in sunshine, such a pretty day. I had heard of Strawberry Fields and the Lennon memorial, but I did not know it is a “quiet zone”. Interesting that a man of music and demonstration ( stayed in bed for a week to protest the Vietnam War and other things) is remembered this way. Perhaps to make you think, reflect and ‘Imagine”. Take care of that voice...it is your bread and butter! ❤️😃
Funniest thing on GTA IV, run up to one of the food vendors and knock into him until he gets annoyed, then run to the next did vendor whilst being chased and stand by him, when the angry food vendor catches up he takes a swing at you but instead of hitting you he hits the vendor next to you which starts a street fight. Hilarious. Liberty Island is the best place for it but Central Park is good as well.

In the North West of England were I live there are lots of mere's but funnily enough we don't just say for instance 'I'm going to Pickmere' we'd say 'I'm going to Pickmere Lake', for me though, one of the most beautiful mere's is in the Lake District and it's called Buttermere.
You were in want of a better word there, when describing the obelisk from Egypt. Hieroglyphs are 'chased' into stone. If making an impression, letters or groove into something with mallet & chizel. It's called chasing it out.
My brother lives in Birkenhead UK, he lives opposite Birkenhead Park. Central Park is based on Birkenhead Park which is the first public park. There are some similarities between the two, instead of the baseball diamonds the are cricket pitches and tennis courts, Central Park is much bigger though.
May you be released from your fan club...I believe they just want info...sometimes its good to carry a black magic bag....hahah just kidding....your videos are so awesome your so loving and happy and it helps create a loving experience for those who visit...you are a millioinaire.
Anther good video, but the ads are starting to get annoying since they cut your words, sentences, and topics. Is this something I can change on my end?
Is there a way for you to position the ads where you want (ie placing them so they don’t cut into the middle of your sentences) or does TH-cam place them automatically?
You skipped the Conservatory Gardens 😭😭 One of my favorite areas of the park/city overall, which makes the trip to the Northern Central Park worth it. But I understand there were a million other things to cover in the video, plus the Conservatory Gardens are kinda dead this time of year anyways lol.
BRO BOW BRIDGE IS ALSO KNOWN AS PROPOSAL BRIGBE AVERAGE 1-10 proposals occur there not at Bethesda fountain like you said 😂 also the movie Spider-Man 3 was filmed there
''Meer'' means lake in Dutch. I think it's one of those words the city kept. Just like the name ''Harlem'', which was named after the city ''Haarlem'' in The Netherlands. EDIT: you perfectly pronounced the word as a Dutch speaker lol

Nice! Thank you for the tip!

What an ignorant comment.@Donna Peroche
Wow waterfall in Central Park! You’d never think you’d see that in New York City. Thanks for showing us around.
Yeah it's nuts

Well, thank you for taking the long walk for us!! I've watched several of your videos of NYC and subscribed!!
Great info! If only there was a map shown with the locations on this video. But great video!
WOW!!! I had no idea Central Park was so big! I've watched videos of the Met so many times, would love to see it in person someday.
It's so frakin big
But not the biggest. Pelham Park, in the Bronx, holds that title.
Yo appreciate the Hustle ❤️
Thanks shifas!
Singapore has very nice, beautiful & spacious parks too: Gardens by the Bay, Botanic Gardens, Fort Canning Park, Hort Park & Jurong Lake Gardens.

Cool video, love Central Park. Keep up with the great videos.
Garth Brooks played a free concert before an estimated 900,000 fans in the North Meadow (where all those baseball fields are) on August 7, 1997.
איזה כיף סרטון חדש :)

Really good job
You forgot to mention The Great Lawn. It was near one of the food carts you were in. It hosts The Global Citizen Festival.

Yeah it's freaking Mass

If you pay for TH-cam premium you can! It'll be ad free and you can still support me. I hope you understand why I need the ads in my videos
No problem, I understand the need, didn't know there was a work around. Thanks
Is there a way for you to position the ads where you want (ie placing them so they don’t cut into the middle of your sentences) or does TH-cam place them automatically?
I do ♥️ Central Park tho especially in December like it legit gives me home alone vibes lol ☺️
Haha it's pretty great
TheTravelingClatt I miss u can U do more videos like seriously 😐🤗😘
Be careful when you look go into men's washrooms. The stalls don't have doors so you either see someone dropping one or someone can see you... Hahaja

Can you please pre-roll ads, great content just want to watch it in a single hit.
Don't mind sitting through ads at the start :-)

I started getting worried when you didn't mention the Museum of Natural History earlier. 😂
