    Ok got my Absorber towel today and gave it a try. It worked much better than either the shamwow or natural shammy I have used. It seems to work better when it's about half saturated as opposed to almost dry like when wringing it out. When it's almost dry it likes to stick to the car and is somewhat hard to move around. But all in all a very decent product for drying vehicles. Pretty much gets all the water off with little or no watery film or residue left behind. And best of all no lint!

    The Absorber is the only one of these three I'd recommend for drying your car.

      Have you tried a waffle weave towel? It seems many consider them the "crème de la crème" of drying towels.

    Used multiple things, Absorber is the best for car drying just by using the dragging method with no pressure.

    The Absorber hands down is the best for cars, no residue, and it dries your car perfectly. Just don't bunch the Ab. Just run it open along the car, in one fluid pass, and your done!

    Awesome review dude. I have a natural Chamois towel. It works pretty ok. For $7, I'm willing to see how the Absorber works on my Corvette. I want the best. Your review sure helped me out a ton! Thanks for uploading and God bless ! ! !

    Glad it helped! Of the three, the Absorber is clearly the best for drying a car, so I think you'll like it! Don't forget to check out my other vids for other solid reviews! =)

    I will do that sir. Will receive my Absorbers soon. I just retread what I posted below and noticed a lot of typos, typing on an ipad can be a challenge at times. :)

    I bought a shamwow to dry my car with. My experience is that it is a very poor performer for dry vehicles. No matter how much I wring it out and wipe, it would never get the car dry and would leave behind a wet film as described. Here. I just ordered two Absorber towels after seeing. A few demos and will see how this does but from the looks it will be great for drying a can. I don't ever remember seeing a car being dried in any of the shamwow commercials. That's for the nice review. :)

    As far as the film leaving contamination in the shamwow, was this the first time the shamwow has been used or has it been used previously? It seems like the residue would be washed out after a few rinses through, no?

      That one was brand new. You might be right. I'm not sure I've use a Shamwow since this video, though ;)

    The absorber is amazing. Just decided to have to life and put some water on my counter and wat's amazing is when you fold it in half long-ways and then roll it up.
    Then put at bottom on the spill and unroll it over the liquid; then roll it back up and BAM it's... gone!
    Love this absorber, can't wait to try it out when I wash a car.

    A genuine leather chamois is not supposed to be used wet, nor does it claim to uselessly absorb water. What they are really good for is not streaking your car when you dry it.

    • @ultraconsumer
      @ultraconsumer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So it doesn't absorb as much water, but it still gets wet when drying something -- then what? Over time it dries back out and becomes a crunchy mess, so it's not pliable until you re-wet it, at which point it's leaving behind leather fibers and streaks again. I'm confused as to the "correct" way to use a chamois, I guess.

    • @tarstarkusz
      @tarstarkusz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ultraconsumer They don't dry primarily by absorbing a ton of water. If you want something which will absorb a lot of water, get a natural sponge.

    This review is a bit misleading. You can tell just by looking at the ShamWow that it has a much larger surface area than the other two. Sure, it can soak up more liquid but the others aren't as big so they aren't going to be able to do so. Just basic science there.

    synthetic chamois absorbs better than leather

  • @tarstarkusz
    @tarstarkusz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This test is terrible. You are treating the other 2 the same way you treat the shitty shamwow. A leather Chamois is not supposed to be used like this. It is like saying a NY strip steak is no good because it doesn't taste like a hamburger.
    If you think water absorption is the thing, then use a genuine ocean sponge. A genuine real sponge (from a living creature, not "sponge" like you do the dishes with), will absorb way more water per weight than a shamwow or really just about any other towel type things.

    • @ultraconsumer
      @ultraconsumer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's been a long time, but the chamois also left more streaks and debris, and was harder to use due to the crunchiness after not being used for a while. I've long since thrown it away. How is it supposed to be used where I'd have avoided all the downsides?

    Try the sham wow on a black vehicle and you'll be quick to burn it. Whatta waste of my time and money.
