I knew him in the mid 90s when I worked in Hollywood. He hung around artists like a remora fish, was totally crude and vulgar and a jerk, and seemed to pride himself on being repulsive. His attorney sent me a notification that I was going to be sued over something, I let him know he (very obviously) had completely the wrong person (I had zero idea what he was even talking about is my dim recollection of it) and his response was a personal written letter saying "oh my bad" basically. It was beyond weird. I never called him friend and avoided him. That I even made it onto his radar made me feel vaguely dirty.

Could be nerve damage from birth or something. That’s what happened to Sylvester Stallone, the doctor that delivered him messed up with the forceps on his head resulting in nerve damage which is why his eye and mouth droop on one side of his face, and why he talks the way he does
I saw him do his Shamwow pitch at a 2-3 day boat show in Rhode Island before he got famous on TV. I was impressed with his stamina and enthusiasm since he was on his feet talking while doing his demo all weekend.
His commercials remind me of simpler times when cable tv was around. I love the streaming options now but there’s something nostalgic about running to the bathroom during a commercial break so you wouldn’t miss a second of your favorite show
I actually never saw his mugshot so this is interesting. Maybe I did but I forgot I don't know. But interesting to see what is life also had install for him even before informorcials. I like how I made a joke though about him being prison with his sticky commercial when I first saw it. I thought it was hilarious! I remember only him Advertising the ShamWow and Slap Chop Commercial and heard of him going to Jail but that's all I heard of him I don't watch TV much anymore now! I kinda slowed down since I moved out and I haven't seen him in any Infomercials since then!
Rumor has it he is now a card room dealer in Las Vegas. Some had alleged to have spotted him working at aria poker room. Go see for urself, you might be lucky enough to spot him.
Omg, the schticky😂 I was watching another TH-camr who bought a lint roller like that as like a new thing from tik tok and I was like those have been around for forever but I wouldn’t quite place my finger on what I knew them from. This!! It’s this!!😂
My company had a booth a few booths down from one of his salesmen back in the day at a state fair. His girlfriend had a booth directly next to mine, I can't remember what she was sellilng. I heard about this dude through the movie. They would sell it on late-night TV. We listened to the same sort of music so took a chance. The movie is absolutely terrible but charming in it's own way. I was so confused by everyone who called him the coked out shamwow guy.
it's crazy but just put yourself in his shoes, super famous for a rag commercial and everywhere you go they want you to be that guy and repeat the lines..it's tough

I've always thought this dude was just a pitch guy, but when I found out he created the shamwow.. that takes guts and ingenuity
Did you not watch the clip? He did not create the shamwow. Are you really that over eager to kiss someone's butt?
he didn't, nor did he ever own the company
@@SouthernSteelerya what is this person talking about? This is probably the shamwow guy himself commenting

Honestly, that mugshot was the last I heard from him. Seems like he's doing better now though, good to hear.
The schticky thingy during the shot is just pure chutzpa.
You have to hand it to him that he's got tenacity.

Yes, he had a stroke. The headset is there to partially obscure the fact.
@@amethystdeceiver6874 Oh, I never thought about that 🤔. Thanks for the info.
