It was interesting hearing Loughborough mentioned as I lived there when I was young. My favourite thing was going over the hill that went over the railway. We would go over with a shout of glee. Lol
I absolutely LOVE the new intro! I also love all the new models added into the series, with the exception of RWS Annie & Clarabel, but to my knowledge they’re the only models of them with interchangeable faces, so it’s understandable why the switch was made. The story here was very enjoyable and I can’t wait to see what more is in store, keep up the great work!
Thomas really impressed me in this episode. He really has matured. Normally, I thought he would tease Jinty for his accident. But no, he didn't. Nice job making Thomas more sympathetic. And nice job for this whole episode as a matter of fact.
That’s really the beauty of Thomas’ character growth. In all honesty, I grew up during the HiT era of Thomas and never really compared HiT Thomas to Classic Thomas until some years ago and it was weird to see the difference.
Starting off the weekend right! I like this new editing style and how much more effort you put into episodes, let’s hope to a good 2018 and an even better new season!
I really enjoyed this new episode; Jinty gets an appearance, the new models of Toby, Gordon and Percy are used, and the story was well written. Personally, I was almost expecting a Rob Rackstraw-like kind of voice for Jinty, but it doesn't matter. I hope you can still help Josh Ball and me with our script for your next episode; we wanted to complete it, but we were still struggling to think of something more original.
Brandon Polley I’m sort of struggling with it too. I have the book to guide me, although I don’t see how ‘Percy’s Passengers’ would connect with the School trip story.
I see, but I'm still not going to give up, though. One word: teamwork. I'm quite sure your script editors can help out too with their good ideas to add in. And also, just so you know, you might want to check my sound effect library; I'm once again adding some new surprises you might like.
And there are these other useful sound effect libraries made by LittleBlueTrain67; he especially has the diesel engine sounds from Season 4-7. th-cam.com/video/x5CC--48Wgo/w-d-xo.html
Well done, NWR 1991. This episode overall was a GREAT way to start your new season. I liked the effort you put into the intro, and how you added all the newest of content. With all that new content, it's like you gave your whole fleet of characters (engines and rolling stock alike), thus your whole series, a complete overhaul.
You know? It's funny. I don't know if you know this, but I actually had a similar idea. Basing Thomas and Jinty's... er, "grudge" against each other on this one illustration from the RWS story "The Fat Controller's Engines" that showed Jinty laughing at Thomas is something *I* had in mind, too. Of course, *my* story would have played out a bit differently; although Jinty had pretty much the same reason to laugh at Thomas (i.e. because Thomas was boasting), I actually had The Fat Controller have them settle their differences while taking a charter train. Of course, it might be too similar to your take on Rosie's introduction, but any similarities are merely coincidence. In any case, I do try to make my story at least *somewhat* original. Also, since Percy still works at Ffarquhar in *my* headcanon, the reason Jinty comes to help out is because the former of the two has to be checked over (though what exactly Percy needs to be checked over for, I'm still not sure). Even *after* Percy comes back, Jinty stays a little longer, which is where the charter train comes in. Also, although I know that this is not exactly original, what makes Thomas and JInty settle their differences is actually one saving the other from a train of runaway trucks. Yes, I'm still trying to work this out. Also, Jinty's accident is pretty much what I'd say is Douglas's accident in "Buffer Bashing" done right, and while I know you made a story about that from TFC/STH's point of view (which I forever applaud you for, BTW), I *don't* want to copy your ideas, especially since I know you said to *not* use your stories for our series. So *my* version of "Buffer Bashing" has Bill and Ben in Donald and Douglas's place (with the twin who crashes the the *second* time, in this case *Ben*, crashing into the buffers out of arrogance). I hope you don't mind what I have to say as I just wanted to give my two cents. You understand, right?
Another great episode mate, well done! Perhaps in the future you can make an episode about the Folwer 4F, and provide him a bigger role throughout the episode.
That was absolutely a fantastic story. Jinty making a special appearance and learning the hard way about how his teasing and joking can come back to bite him on the bunker. I agree with LMS Arthur, Pug should make a special appearance too. But if there is a trainz model of him though. I have a feeling you've go some new ideas for Season 7 :D.
Thomas was damn right, that it got back to Jinty XD I recognize the lack of quality on the Trainz models this season. Is it to prevent the lagging as Trainz often do?
Really nice episode, and I like the new intro. However, I have one question. Why are you still using Trainz 2009 and not Trainz: A New Era? The optimization has gotten ten times better, and it is easier for filming because you can change the faces in driver mode.
ThomasFan2002 I would love to film in T:ANE and I have the program. But my computer just lags it horrendously and I tried to have smooth pace but it just wasn’t working for me. I also tried my Mac and even that didn’t do any wonders for me too. So that’s why I’m still using Trainz 2009. I had used Trainz 12 before and it couldn’t install anymore. However the doors are open for T:ANE still.
NWR1991 Perhaps I can help you with the settings etc. Also, I'm still using SP1 HF4 and not SP2 HF1, because SP2 seems to be laggier than SP1 in my case. If you have the disk version of the game, I would recommend to install the game again from the disk, and update it all the way to SP1 HF4. Maybe your performance will get better. If you need any further help, feel free to contact me.
Good to see more of these stories again. Nice to see someone doing something with Jinty. Also, that is such a crisp, clean sound for Toby's bell. Where'd you find that version? My Toby Bell pack is being revised atm for a future release finally and that soundfile would be so helpful.
The soundtrack in the outro sounds familiar. Is it taken from the second Thomas and Friends PC Game, "Trouble on the Tracks"? Also, I noticed Percy's memories from "Percy takes a Plunge" used the RWS version with Jinty and the others, rather than the TV series version with Bill and Ben. Nice work anyway, and looking forward to future content :)
Why was Emily going so fast at 0:10, also Jinty hit the buffers at such a slow speed that there should have been no incident, other older steam locomotives in real life have hit the buffers harder (on video by the way) and there was no damage, no injuries and certainly no need for an ambulance, the locomotive even took its train without bother after that. Jinty should have hit the buffers a lot harder
Jinty's incident was based off the link provided below. Now I don't know how fast this engine was going but judging from the video of the aftermath that can be seen on YT in the article too, it doesn't look like there wasn't any sufferable damage except maybe a few scratches. Plus these are priceless machines in the end and they cost money in the end when it comes to repairs and so they would have to be inspected incase if they have any damage. Plus emergency services were there to check incase if anyone is hurt: www.edp24.co.uk/news/locomotive-crashes-into-buffers-at-north-norfolk-railway-1940s-weekend-1-4240279
NWR1991 I see where your coming from, but I do think that the B12 was still going a bit faster than Jinty when it hit the wall and to be fair that locomotive weighs a lot more than Jinty so even at the speed jinty was going at it would do a lot more damage, where as jinty’s little bump would have done little to no damage, I do have to say it was still a good episode
While Jinty has the correct BR crest on his tanks in accordance with the illustrations, he shouldn't have the sand filler holes As far as I know, Elsie never ran with Annie and Clarabel on Wilbert's layouts If the Fat Controller arrived on Percy, why is Percy pulling a brake van?
1. I didn’t design Jinty’s model and whatever was modelled on there is out of my control. 2. Elsie is there because Toby is taking workmen to the quarry and so what’s the point of a luggage van? 3. It’s obvious that the Fat Controller was riding in the brake van and it’s railway regulations for an engine to pull a brake van to say they are a light engine.
Okay I have to ask it now, just *who is* Jinty? I keep watching Fan made stories and he keeps poping up. Is he a Loco on the RWS books? Or is he a "Community accepted* character?
Brandon Prokop He just bashed into the buffers causing them to break and all he got were some scratches as he wasn’t going too fast. The whole point was to make Jinty learn it’s not funny crashing into buffers. He was lucky that he didn’t end up like Thomas all those years, when he and the others of TFC’s engines were going to London, by having his front end badly bent and narrowly missing his London trip.
Jacob the starbridge 14xx We can use our imagination and imagine them with faces. Plus the express coaches talked in ‘Thomas & Gordon’ and they were faceless and we had Henrietta, before she was given a face, talking in ‘Toby & the Stout Gentleman’
I'm sad that they had to close but it's understandable why on there part all because of three ungrateful brats giving away older models despite the fact that Sean doesn't like them anymore. I stated this on DeviantArt as well that I won't be giving out any models, routes and other things from SI3D to other users because it is just wrong after all the hard work they had done in the past and the time they had given to create them. If some users don't like it that I'm not giving out any of SI3D's models then tough luck for them.
I loved how Jinty was used in this story. It was good to see him and Thomas finally put the past behind them.
Yeah but what kind of a engine is jinty
@@jeremiahcombs237 Really late reply but he's based on a 3F tank engine
I like how Percy is still using the Queen Marry brakevan
It was interesting hearing Loughborough mentioned as I lived there when I was young. My favourite thing was going over the hill that went over the railway. We would go over with a shout of glee. Lol

Kyle Eaton
I was kinda hoping that the Fat Controller would give Jinty his just desserts considering his behavior.
well Thomas has gotten older over the decades so it makes sense to have him more mature.
That’s really the beauty of Thomas’ character growth. In all honesty, I grew up during the HiT era of Thomas and never really compared HiT Thomas to Classic Thomas until some years ago and it was weird to see the difference.
A very well done on this episode. Truly wonderful.
Amazing first episode to yet
another fantastic season. I can't wait for more.☺👍🏾
I seen Jinty in action on the Great Central Railway and I will be seeing him on the Somerset & Dorset Railway next month.
Starting off the weekend right! I like this new editing style and how much more effort you put into episodes, let’s hope to a good 2018 and an even better new season!
I like this episode because it put the blame on the driver and not the engine. And Thomas has grown up
And he is more different back then
I really enjoyed this new episode; Jinty gets an appearance, the new models of Toby, Gordon and Percy are used, and the story was well written.

I have 3 words, THIS IS AMAZING!
it is such a wonderful episode .
The episode is wonderful! Especially his Journey Beyond Sodor-style intro!
^_^ Jinty and others are running fine at the GCR I should know as I often go see them lol
TBH I have to admit even though he was going tremendously slow, a bash like that could cause the crew to fall over at the least.
I'm a fan of your series been watching since S3 went back to watch S1-2, I loved the new intro can't wait for the rest of S7
Liked last seasons intro, but this actually seems LIGIT. Great job NWR1991!!!!
I just realized. 8572, the locomotive that had the accident Jinty’s was based on, is the same class as Alfred/98462
Sean Steere No not really. If they were the same class Jinty would also be a Holden B12 as well. Jinty’s name is the name of his class.
Jinty's face reminds me of one of my cousin's faces..
Love the Railway Series set for Ffarquhar. Looking forward to the others.
Great job on this episode, this is great way to start a series.
I wished jinty and pug appeared in Christopher awadry's rws books
I love the new format of your series! The opening was amazing!

I've seen Jinty in real life on the GCR!
This was nice, i really enjoyed this.

NWR1991 So, did it succeed or is it still too laggy?
Sorry for the late reply, right now I'm updating T:ANE with the first SP1 for 74885. I'll see how many more I have to go after that.
