Once again, you nailed it! I see that you got continuity from the CGI Series! I guess that Spencer's VIP was an inspiration? Those engines, seems like pride will always be getting to them!
This is so funny! most of the Fat Controller engines are over 70 years old! and yet they still act out of mature! lol this has to be your best yet! Let see how many incidents can I think off,Thomas leaving coaches behind, leaving his guard behind, crashing into the station master's house, look for a shortcut, being shunted on his own branchline,Henry being afraid of some rain, running backwards along the mainline,Went swimming with the Flying Kipper so to speak being afraid of a cow with Gordon,Gordon falling into a ditch,Bursting a safety valve,or not trying to pull his goods train up the hill, running out of water,James having a bootlace incident spinning round on the turntable like a top,James eating his own words that Edward can't beat him in a race,Percy falling into the sea,I could go on forever..
I like how you made references from episodes from the Thomas and friends tv series. Great job on the series dude your are a great youtuber and true Thomas and friends fan
Funny, on Facebook, a lot of my friends were dared to post pictures with their favorite family members. I didn't do it because I also know it isn't right to choose a favorite family member. This episode was very enjoyable. It like a RWS version of "Spencer's V.I.P." Keep up the good work.
So many pops. The only flaw. I could easily recommend a pop filter. Great job on this episode. It really goes back to the original series as well as the books.
You know, I like this story NWR1991. It's not childish at all, it reminds me of a line from the song "Sir Topham Hatt" that said 🎶Favorites he has none🎶 Well done again! Keep it up mate, ignore the haters and don't stop doing what you're doing!
Indeed that it is mentioned in the sir topham hatt song and just ignore all those haters as they don't know how much hard work and such that youtubers such as yourself put into making these videos. Also the haters don't have anything else better to do with their lives. But apart from that keep up the good work NWR1991
This episode really does work as you would often wonder who the Fat Controller's favourite engine is. But this made perfect sense and it worked very well. Something tells me 'Spencer's VIP' gave you a bit of inspiration to make this one. I was surprised to see Ryan turn up. Are you going to have him appear as a main character in your story soon?
I see that you are using Hiro in your series. I was wondering- how does he fit in your canon, since him being the "oldest engine" and at one point the "only engine" on Sodor makes no sense. Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon and most of the Skarloey engines are older than Hiro and have been there longer. That being said, I find it nice that you do a great job blending the Railway Series and TV series in your series.
+NWR1991 Actually Ffarquhar Engine is right. The other way of spelling it is 'favorite' which is the American spelling. To us Australians and basically everywhere else, it's 'favourite'.
I must say I really enjoy how you write these stories, and I'll come to say you actually do a better job than even Andrew Brenner could do or any other writers at HiT, and this story is a perfect example to back up my statement. One thing about this episode however, why does Ryan have purple smoke in some scenes?
Not bad. However Gordon, Henry, Duck, and Thomas have learnt so many times that TFC/STH has no favourite. I liked it but felt like just repeating episodes like Spencer's VIP. Also, why was Ryan there? He hadn't done anything wrong.
There was never any episode officially where TFC has a favourite at all. Plus there have been repeatable episodes in the past (e.g - Escape and Rusty to the Rescue, both are the same but fans like them anyway in their own respect) and why Ryan is there, if you look, he was an example of thinking he's a favourite and what he did that caused a mess was off screen.
TheTilburyTrain There was some influence but the inspiration came from C.Awdry in the 70th anniversary TH-cam documentary from the offical Thomas channel saying from his father that 'in a family you don't have favourites.'
I really liked this episode but I don't know how I feel about your series being canon with the cgi series. It's just that I hate how they made Henry this engine that's literally afraid of everything.
In my opinion I think it's for the sake of consistency from the Barlow/Miller era. Plus I don't mind his worried behaviour now as I think it was handled well by Davey Moore in HST. I'm trying to balance out Henry's old and new persona.
I really disliked this episode and I'm not lying. I just find it just childish that the engines were squabbling over this. I mean Gordon 's 92 years old! How many times does he have to learn he's not the best and he should acknowledge when he's wrong, but this is just my opinion. I'm sure other people will enjoy it and that's fine by me, it's just that... It's so childish! The music and the dialogue was good, it was the plot and the way it was taken that really dragged this episode down.
Well the aim is towards children too as well as older fans and so this teaching moral is made for kids to understand about that there's no such thing as a favourite. No matter what a child can do childish things and most people, even at older ages can still act immature at times. I mean, whatever time period S17 is set because he just wants to beat Bertie and not thinking of his passengers first, Thomas act immature over a shortcut. Heck Bill and Ben are who knows how old and they act immature with their teasing and trickery (Thomas and the Twins is an example as it was set sometimes in the late 1980's.)
+NWR1991 I see where you're coming from and I really like your idea of the morals. Most other Thomas TH-cam series(s) don't have morals, heck my one is just one big parody of Thomas. Plus I believe S17 is in the 1960's because A: The Old Fashioned Cars And Telephones, B: The Lack Of Technology and C: On The Thomas Talk ( I think that's the name) Facebook Community, Sam Wilkson, the real one, not that fake one that's been going around, asked if we would like to the series in a different time setting apart from the 60's. I do have to admit though, your videos are superb, better than anything I could make. I just didn't enjoy this episode as much as the others like William or Jim for an example, but thanks for replying to my comment!
As the song goes "And though he's strict and meticulous, favourites he has none." Another good job with this episode.
Once again, you nailed it! I see that you got continuity from the CGI Series! I guess that Spencer's VIP was an inspiration? Those engines, seems like pride will always be getting to them!

A nice message, its I love how the Fat Controller sees the engines as his family/children.
I agree and it is so caring
I like how you made references from episodes from the Thomas and friends tv series. Great job on the series dude your are a great youtuber and true Thomas and friends fan
This is really good! I loved the various references from the tvs! Good Job mate!

Henry is missing his wheel arches at the start I just noticed.

Yeesh! I haven't seen the engines in this much of an argument since the trouble they got themselves into in Spencer's VIP.
I'm saying Edward is The Fat Controller's favourite
Ryan The Blue Pony, that was my thought as well.
What station is Gordon at in 0:53? Kanefan701 and I wanted to know
I think its Vicarstown...
Nice episode :)

Why was Hiro's steam purple in the sheds
Was Henry talking bout in the lost treasure when Thomas fell down the hole
Yes
+NWR1991 I thought u where talking bout when Thomas fell down a mine on season 1 I think it was sane seaon he crashed into station masters house
Thomas comes to Breakfast was Season 2
Is that a homemade Kellsthorpe from 0:36-0:45? If so, well done.
That was done by Hilltracktrainz
NWR1991, oh, okay.
I thought he meant when he fell down a mine in season 1
Why Ryan has purple smoke above his funnel?
Ian Yip It was just like that.
Thanks
It's spelt 'Favourite' not 'Favourtive'
There are two ways of spelling it, like color and colour
+NWR1991 That would be 'Favourite' and 'Favorite'. One has a 'U' and one doesn't. There are not two 'v's in Favourite.
+NWR1991 Actually Ffarquhar Engine is right. The other way of spelling it is 'favorite' which is the American spelling. To us Australians and basically everywhere else, it's 'favourite'.

+NWR1991 You have a point there. I feel like Ryan wouldn't have done that though, going off his personality in SLOTLT.
+NWR1991 Thomas is just about 97 years old he's a E-2 tank
Isn't this based on Spencer's VIP
TheTilburyTrain There was some influence but the inspiration came from C.Awdry in the 70th anniversary TH-cam documentary from the offical Thomas channel saying from his father that 'in a family you don't have favourites.'
Wow this is so funny LOL ;) XD XD XD
The title is spelled as favourtive
I really liked this episode but I don't know how I feel about your series being canon with the cgi series. It's just that I hate how they made Henry this engine that's literally afraid of everything.
