The colors of Ojai look gorgeous in all the things you made. I love love love that red floral cardigan with the bell sleeves. Everything, really. And that little twinset. Chef's kiss!
Lovely makes! ❤ I have not been sewing and am trying to get my sew-jo back but I am enjoying your videos and personality as both are soothing and inspiring. Keep it up! ❤
Oh Rachel... WOW! This video was amazing! The colors of the landscape and the colors of the fabrics. Wow! You have just stepped up to a new level. Of all of the sewist I follow; this was top notch! You have just turned a page, really! I forgot about the old E.S.P. patterns. Lol you got your moneys worth out of that one. Great Job❣️
Patricia, this is such a compliment. Thank you so much! I fell in love with that E.S.P. pattern, I’ll tell you what! 😅 Happy sewing and creating to you-and hope you’re taking great care! Appreciate your kind words. 🌷🧵🪡
I like the purple pants they’re really quite cool looking great fit with the side panels and the styling was nice to Just thought I’d mention about The first pattern you reviewed Rachel Anne (the pattern with the one shoulder top and matching jacket) The pants from that pattern are great to I’ve made them 3 times now (2 pair for me and 1 pair for my daughter) They come together well and have an interesting patch at the top front side panel Nice that you took Inspiration from nature you ended up with some really nice pieces there Anyway, wishing you all the best looking forward to the next video
Thank you for your kind words and for the feedback on that pants pattern! It does look very cute and I love the wide legged style. I will definitely keep that in mind for a future project! Thank you for sharing and happy happy sewing to you!🧵🪡😊
Hi Rachel! You have inspired me to make up some camisoles with leftover fabric. I have been working on a jacket… ugh… it came out huge so taking it in a lot. I think I actually really like it. My partner thinks it looks great and he will always be honest. I love all of your makes… very cute. Corduroy was my favorite fabric to sew in the 70’s.
I love that you will soon have a cute jacket you love and that you have a second pair of eyes that can be laid on a project! It really can be so helpful and I bet your jacket will be gorgeous! Cheers to Corduroy! Happy happy sewing, and creating to you😊🪡🧵
@ the jacket/ coat has been a challenge. I broke 4 needles. The fabric is just so thick. It has taken me forever to sew it up because I keep tweeting things. I should finish it today.
You’re funny…. I enjoy your videos. So many nice garments, particularly the floral cardigan I like - it was a “make it work” moment, you mastered a fix beyond the frustration. That is a sign of craftsmanship and creativity. I am living vicariously through other sewists on TH-cam such as yourself right now while I recover from a broken wrist. I have a winter coat in process waiting for me in my sewing room. Hopefully, I will get back to it before spring 😳
Thank you so much for your kind words and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! Sending you lots of healing so that you can get back to sewing and creating! Appreciate you being here 🧵🪡😊🌷
I Love your videos! (trying to break back into sewing.....after a few decades....sewing was a passion of mine in the 70s) 😊 Your version of S 8874 is beautiful. (I have that pattern, so it is interesting to see how it can be created). I admire your ingenuity (thinking about the dress you cut up , and made something completely different) !
Thank you so much for your kind words and hope that your journey back into sewing is going well! I have been holding onto 8874 for a while and really thought it was such a straightforward pattern to work with. Happy sewing and creating!🪡🧵😊
Love seeing your makes, new to your channel. Good to find someone who makes what I do. I've made 8874 like maybe 20 times. I've tried modifying the skirt slimmer. But it got tight. I do just cut it twice on the fold, and add pockets, my favorite dress. Happy sewing
Welcome to the channel, happy you’re here! It sounds like that is one of your favorite patterns and I can see why! Such an easy-going and cute little dress. Happy sewing, and creating to you!🧵🪡😊
Happy Winter Sewing! You saw these fabrics a few vids back, but what ya didn’t know was they were inspired by a gorgeous hike 😆 What are your go to projects and patterns for the winter season (and have you worked with any of these sewing patterns? Last but not least, I'm interested to learn where your sewing inspiration comes from...: ) Thanks again to Cosy Island--link to their website and a discount code is in the description of this video. Happy happy sewing and creating to you!

I’m amazed at how many garments you are able to produce. As I’m watching your video, I’m trying to type the pattern numbers into my phone so I can pick them up at a later date. Did you get the sleeves for your dresses from a different pattern? I couldn’t see sleeves on the pattern covers you showed. Your makes are amazing. I especially loved the Corduory dress and the sweater sets.
Thank you so much! These were a culmination of the past month or two combined with being a sewing homebody 😅 Anytime you see a bell sleeve on one of my garments, it is almost always going to be from the know me, Gwen Heng 2021 pattern. Recently, the straighter sleeves are from the simplicity 9826 pattern. And all of the patterns are listed in the description of the video in the chapters. Happy sewing!

The process of getting the sew-jo back is real!!! Thank you for your kind words and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! : )
I just picked up that turtleneck pattern on Saturday at a thrift store! Thanks for the inspiration to make it today.
You are kidding! That’s awesome! Have so much fun sewing it up and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!😊🪡🧵

Rachel Ann, I especially like the corduroy dress, and what a good fit you achieved with that one. I also like the outfits that you wear a belt with.
Thank you, Mary! It was such a fun pattern to work with! Belts really can add a little something to an outfit! Happy sewing and creating😊

OMG Rachel, I bought that same terracotta knit yesterday ❤
Yay!!! I wish I had gotten more of it to make some matching pants--it is so lovely! Happy sewing and creating, enjoy working with your new fabric!: )
Love your makes, Rachel Anne! Did you hear that JoAnn’s declared bankruptcy again??😢😢😢
Thank you! And nooooo!!! 🥹 that would be so sad if all Joann’s close!
