This guy is claiming you look for market indicators, how things are in that country etc etc, this industry would go up and down. These are all speculation and in active trading only stock brokers make money. Warren rule for investment is simple. You look for company with good economic indicators like increasing cash flow, increasing assets, business growth and look at its price to earning ratio relative to other companies with similar business models/plan and buy undervalued or fair valued and keep them forever.

The 13 f files clearly shows his positions over pre covid and covid period. Warren buffet sold his airline stocks, invested in pharma stocks, after an year reduced pharma stocks and increased exposure in oil companies. Furthermore hedge funds all over the world focus on stocks that can move in 1-3 months. The economy have changed to growth oriented policy vs value oriented policy prior to financial crisis of 2008. Warren buffet also adapted same policies to his portfolio. His stocks are now focused on growth companies now which were previously focused on value play. All investors should adapt to policy changes around the world and make investment decisions accordingly
