We had the F21 error code on our Maytag washer. I just followed along the video. Removing the cover at the bottom on the washer was a pain but this video clearly helped us save $400+ service call. Make sure you don't have any clothes and any water in the washer when cleaning the drain. Thank you for posting the video with such details.
Thanks for the quick fix bro! I thought the hardest part about it, was getting the DAMN bottom panel back on. Other than that, everything worked out smooth! NO MORE F21 CODES EITHER!!!
I wanted to thank you soooo much for posting this video! Your washer is the only make model video I could find! My hubby washed the dog bed and didn't shake it out so we had tons of dog hair also a baby sock. I was spending soooo much $$$ at the laundry mat. I finally got P.O.ed enough and fixed it myself thanks to you.
Yes, I am also appreciative! You have the same Duet as I do... had been looking up the generic error code, but didn't want to open the back and not find the part. You made it easy ~ Thank you! 🙇♀️
You saved me an hour of work. I thought I would have to get behind my washer but it was the same as yours. found a baby sock 5 coins, a sponge (what was left of it, a plastic bracelet and bobbie pin :)
Thank you for sharing this! My only critique is not showing what the screw that was in the bottom of the washer was. I couldn’t figure out what to use and then I played the video back and heard you what to use with the drill but the music did a crescendo right then so the words were obscured. And some advice because of experience- I have had this issue with the f21 code 3 times and twice it was socks stuck in the drain. I bought mesh laundry bags for socks and small items and I haven’t had the problem since. This time it was latex glove. Mesh bags have saved me fear of losing a mate as well. Thanks for the video!!!
@@kove You are starting trouble now. I was not thinking about it and it's been what over a year. I just want you to know that I referred to this video today, not because I was having the error code but because we've been missing socks lately. There ended up not being any socks but it sure was dirty so it was worth taking it apart and cleaning it. 👍
I have walked this road. In fact when you were pulling the hose and the spring clamp kept giving you trouble, I had the fight the urge to reach in and give you a hand. Intense.

Great video - I am hoping this corrects my problem too. I would highly recommend adding a step to shut off the power at the breaker before trying this. The drained water on washer frame and floor is a potential shock hazard with the appliance still energized. Maybe add a banner message in the beginnning of the video?
@@kove On second thought, a better option might be to simply have the user unplug the washer from the outlet 😉. Sometimes breaker panels are not marked well, or at all.
