- been playing around some more with vykes war spear in elden ring, madness is pretty strong, but the only thing i'd change about it is the fact that it can be applied through rolls.

buffs do stack status buildups on weapons with innate status buildups
for example, if you have a katana that does 50 bleed buildup, you can also use the bloodflame blade to give it even more
fun fact 2!
upgrading weapons does not apply statuses faster (I tested this with bloodflame blade claws, i destroyed someone in pvp because they got blood loss really fast)
upgrading weapons absolutely improves status application
so long as the status is coming from the weapon itself and not from an outside buff

i have upgraded my katanas and my +15 uchigatana has no more bleed than my +0 uchigatana
@@kiba_the_lucky if you give your katana bleed scaling then leveling it up will increase it’s bleed. Status effects on weapons only increase if you specifically give them scaling

Yeah, in the capital with the mimic hat thingy you can become a bunch of flowers. Thats some incredible disguise options in some areas.

I know that arcane scales up bleed buildup, so its possible another stat might make sleep proc faster.
Pretty sure arcane increases all status build up as long as a weapon has arcane scaling.
@@Patrick-bn5rp To my knowledge, Frost build up is dictated by Intelligence, not Arcane.
@@HamsterPants522 I probably should have clarified. I believe frost actually scales off weapon level and not anything else. But like.... Madness is affected by arcane, for example.

Hey does anyone know why most pvp players don’t upgrade their weapons to +10? Is it for matchmaking purposes?
Yes a good part of the matchmaking is determined by weapon lvl
@@sidvitriolic2459 so why not upgrade to +10 and match with other players with +10?
@@ashlilly3071 because lower weapon lvls usually means noobier players which makes for better content I suppose idk

nope, madness only procs on tarnished, so npc invaders can be hit by it but no other enemies that I'm aware of(maybe a niche little thing where one weird enemy gets hit by it) but the weapon itself isn't bad so you can use it in pve and still get away with it unlike what albino said in the last vid
